Has anyone here seen CSNY Freedom of Speech concert ?
My wife and I went on July 31st to see them at the Hollywood Bowl . We live a half mile away .

This is a great concert not to be missed since it is against this war as you know . For us it was the only few hours of relief from all this madness we have had since bush first infected the whitehouse .

We got to see a band we saw in the 60's and got to feel the past and the present and some hope for a future even if it was just for a few hours .

I wish we could do it again , now it's back to the madman horrors and terror alerts .

I don't want to feel like this , we have to get bush out real damn soon , two more years is not tolerable is it ?

1. I'm going Sept. 10, can hardly wait!
Is it true they put the lyrics for "Let's Impeach the President" up on-screen so everyone can sing along?

Two more seconds isn't tolerable to have * in office! Two more years will be torture.

4. Yes , they had bid screens here with the words
Most places had at least one on the back of the stage too . That was one of the best parts when the they were playing that tune and the words and then tv footage of bush's horror face and you could hear bush speaking all his lies just under the music .

If you google CSNY and go to the first pick , their offical site click on the photo's of the tours and you can see just what it looks like in the cities they have played so far .

Their older tunes were just as vital and fit to today so well , it's like a rerun of vietnam . They had on screen faces of all the troops who lost their lives and the counter just to get the point across .

I would imagine they are preaching to the choir for the most part , most of the 18,000 people at the bowl looked like the babyboomer age but this does not mean they where there to become democrats or were not repugs who just liked the group .

There was energy there to be certain . CSNY are just as good as ever , age has no effect .

5. Thanks blues. I get chills
just imaging thousands of people singing against *! :applause:

It may be preaching to the choir, but we need all the inspiration we can get these days!

2. I wish I had gone last night. Here is a link that might interest
you. It is from our local (Hartford, CT) liberal talk show host (he also writes for Salon from time to time)

3. Saw Them In Irvine, CA
Yes, it was a great show. Neil Young really stood out. They certainly put in a tremendous effort.
