Poll question: How great a threat do you belief the shampoo plot really was?
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

1. It will be interesting to see how the self appointed experts do
I wonder if they are sticking to the theory that this was all done to take the wind out of Lamont's sails.

3. Overstated. Real plot, but not to the degree we were led to believe.

4. Shampoo plot! Priceless! Wish the media would start calling it this.
The media needs things to talk about, so it's big news. There are no new cases of blonde white college girls missing in a foreign country, no missing preganant women suspected of being killed by their husbands, no former sports stars accused of slashing their former wife, no children drowned by an insane mommy.

There's just no news worth reporting, so it's TERRA! TERRA! TERRA! 24/7 until someone, somewhere, does something outrageous, hideous, and ghastly. Food for the ghouls in all of us.

6. SOAP = Shampoo (not snakes) On A Plane
I wonder if anyone has talked to Samuel L. Jackson yet?

5. My theory is that "al Qaeda" is a fly trap organization...
that is also used to recruit patsies.

By now, a disgruntled Arab would have to be pretty dense to join al Qaeda.

7. Thank you, all
Thanks for not pointing out that, like a doofus, I wrote "belief" instead of "believe." Doh!

8. Real and workable
I walk onto planes all the time with a bottle of lemonade, because they don't have that on planes. This was a clear loophole in security, just like not checking containers at ports is. It was only a matter of time til someone came up with this idea. And I doubt the Bushies are smart enough to think of it themselves.

10. I think there is a real danger of Al Qaeda related split ends.
Case in point:

11. Until I see Bin Laden throwing British Airways passengers into a vat of
Prell Shampoo, I'll stick with 'totally fabricated.'

12. I call it the War on Toiletries, myself.
And I haven't heard one sensible, believable word about it. But I would like to believe that when men without passports tried to board international flights without tickets, we would have stopped them.
