(UK) Boy, 12, evades security clampdown
Nice to know they are doing their jobs.

LONDON, England -- Despite a high level of alert at British airports, a 12-year-old boy managed to board a plane at Gatwick without a passport, ticket or boarding pass.

Tuesday's incident has raised concerns over security procedures in the wake of an alleged plot to blow up planes on trans-Atlantic flight.

The boy was detected by member of the Monarch Airlines cabin crew only after he was seated and had been given a drink and a snack.

He was removed from the plane by police officers before the flight took off.

cont'd...

1. LOL!
Sounds like our current airport security as well: it stops the law-abiding, but the free-spirited rebel can ignore it at no peril.

Recommended!

2. This must be the same 12-year old who met with Mohammed Atta
in that Czech cafe ONLY WEEKS BEFORE 9/11 .

Let's all call Dick Cheney's office to alert him to the news.

3. Is anybody really surprised that a determined 12 year old is able to
sneak past and outsmart a bunch of adults? I'm not.

4. Ah yes, just see how well that security systems works.
Yup, shoe searches, liquid snatching, bag pawing, and yet a twelve year old boy can board the plane and get a drink and snack with nobody the wiser. Yup, we sure are safer now.:banghead: But the real purpose of this whole fiasco is still a success, they've managed to succesfully strip us all of a bunch of our civil rights. So Bush and Blair consider it a double plus good success:banghead:

6. so the kid just walked into 1st class and took a seat?
that's the only place I know of that you get a drink and a snack before leaving the runway. Just walk on like you belong there and no one in first class would be questioned. gotta love it. LOL

7. McCauley Culkin did it in "Home Alone 2"

I suspect that what happened here was similar; everyone assumed he was with a nearby adult.
