Theory on why they can't find Osama
Is it possible that the administration is afraid that if they find Osama, the people will think the terror problem is solved and that therefore they don't need the Republicans any more and can return to Democrats and prosperity and repeal the Patriot Act, no longer be "at war" and all that jazz?

Which would be a pretty stupid thing to think, but stupid thinking is par for the course for the average American these days and the PNAC and Cheney, etc., may believe that is how the people think. The result being that they don't try to find Osama. With the most advanced nation and a lot of the rest of the world after him he would be found if that were truly desired.

1. Who would they use to fuel the paranoia.............
.....if Osama was caught? Who would serve ,so conviniently, as the boogeyman for BushCo everytime they want to hide something, distravt from something or just plain panic the population whenever the poll numbers go south?

9. I've been told '1984' is too over the top.
I think it is brilliantly prophetic.
I stick with the 'kill your TV' sig
not so much that I feel there is nothing
worth seeing but that if our nation rediscovered
reading and thinking we would retreat miles from
this precipice of fascism.
Ya need fearful non thinkers for Gerorgy to get away
with this stuff.

5. they can't find him because the Bin Laden family is protecting him
The Bush FAMILY is in tight with the Bin Ladens. Osama is only rolled out when the thugs need a shot of TERRA.

As long as the Chimp is in office don't expect him to be found.

8. Good point, too.
Some other country might have found him and that could be embarassing.

They need everybody to be :scared:

10. I think you are on the right track with your assumption. If it weren't
for fear, the Republicans would not have had a platform in 2004 and wouldn't have one this year, either. Everything else they've messed with since Bush took office (and before) has been a disaster and all they have left is to tout their record on national security (such as it is) and play on the voter's fear of terrorists.

12. Great quote
And when the military industrial complex lost the communists, they started looking for a new one. Look how much their "Islamofascists" resemble the communists.
