Lebanese president condemns Israel's continued air, sea blockade
Lebanese President Emile Lahoud on Tuesday condemned Israel for its continued sea and air blockage on Lebanon after the UN resolution for truce took effect.

Speaking with visiting Brazilian Foreign Minister Celso Amorim, Lahoud said Israel's deeds bluntly breached the UN Security Council's resolution calling for a ceasefire between Israeli forces and Lebanon's Hezbollah guerillas.

Damn right it breaches the resolution. How is threatening merchant shipping a 'defensive' action? Is a fucking act of war. Fuck the Israeli government.

BEIRUT, Lebanon (AP) - The French foreign minister on Wednesday called
for Israel to lift its air, naval and land blockade of Lebanon, saying
it was unnecessary with the U.N.-imposed cease-fire holding.

"The blockade imposed on the airport and Lebanese ports should be lifted.
We ask Israeli authorities to lift the land and sea siege on Lebanon.
And we ask the Lebanese government to strengthen monitoring" of points
of entry to insure Hezbollah weapons are banned, Douste-Blazy said.

"There is no longer a reason for Israel to continue the blockade," he added.

Israel said the blockade is still necessary until the peacekeeping force is
in place to prevent the Islamic militant group from rearming.

2. Rumor is that the Lebanese
government has decided that the disarming of Hezb and pull-back to north of the Litani is to be interpreted as "allowing Hezb to stay where they are S. of the Litani, call in additional Hezb folks, and keep their arms--with additional stocks to be added--as long as they don't display them too much when UNIFIL people are around."

Anything else would mean that Nasrallah wouldn't be top anymore, and neither he or La Signora would enjoy that. I'm sorry, I meant to say "like that."
