I am humbled beyond belief....
Thank you so very very much for the STAR!!! What a wonderful gesture from someone. I promise that as soon as I am not "laid-off", I will pay this forward with interest. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

5. No, I wasnt, and YES
it is a very special place. For me, sometimes, a place of refuge in a sea of uncertainty.

2. I know how it is.
I've been unemployed for four months. Just starting work again.
I know that I'm going to be able to donate again soon.

Every little bit helps and DU is so worth it.

4. DU can be a bit of sanity
in the sea of insanity which is our world. While I am not the star donor, I can relate to being unemployed and scuffling. Way to go anonymous donor!

7. It means you've donated money to support DU.
It's my refuge - my oasis in a very barren desert. I can't add to the fundraiser now, but I'll be back in December...

10. A word about donating a star
While I'm not your particular star donor, I did donate a star to someone, who I felt really bad for, a while back.

They had a relatively low post count, and was catching grief as a possible troll, and they had no money to donate.
So, I donated in their name, and it made my day.

I kept it anonymous, and to this day that person doesnt know it was me, but their appreciation caught me completely by surprise.

DU is a special place, I agree. You just never know who might make your day.
