Barbara Bush visit pays off: Houston schools to buy Neil Bush $oftware
IT seems it took only a few months for Barbara Bush's visit to a Houston middle school, where she promoted her donation of her son's software to a Hurricane Katrina relief fund, to pay off.

The Houston school board signed off last week on spending up to $200,000 on Neil Bush's "Curriculum on Wheels." The computer system provides history, social studies and science lessons for elementary and middle schools. HISD officials said they're not sure how the machines — about $3,800 each — will be distributed among the district's more than 300 campuses....

Some critics questioned this spring whether the former first lady should have been allowed to channel a donation to her son's Ignite Learning company through Houston's Hurricane Katrina relief fund.

Others wondered why she was allowed to promote the product in a ceremony at Fleming Middle School. Teachers and students gave testimonials on it, despite an HISD policy forbidding the district from endorsing the "merit of a brand name or trademarked products."

1. The program provides "history, social studies, and science lessons" just
the subjects Bushco is busy rewriting. I'd love to see the content of these lessons.

7. Yes, since the hurricanes "work out so well" for people
according to Mom.

2. Woo-hoo! The children of Houston got their COWs!
Let the people rejoice!

I was going to post a picture of the much-heralded Curriculum on Wheels, but it looks like the company is having a little trouble with their web site. That's not very conducive to sales. Good thing (for Neil) that Ma Bush is helping out.

10. So Ma Bar is a pimp.
And the school broke their own rules to promote more Bushit.

What a shocker. :sarcasm:

Have I mentioned lately how much I despise all things Bush?
