Joe Scarborough cracked me up with the Laura Ingraham bit
They're preparing for a 10 year MSNBC retrospective. Tapes of Laura are missing. Recently she dissed Joe. So in this bit, they show Joe nabbing the tapes and doing nasty things to the tapes. Smashing them against walls, running over them with his SUV and flushing them down the toilet.

Seeing Laura's face in the toilet with water swirling around was priceless.

20. Here is the bit with Joe mocking Tuckers "Dancing with the Stars".

"Dance! Dance! Dance!"

Tucker Carlson isn't the only MSNBC host dancing his way to the stars:

Tuesday night on Scarborough Country, "MSNBC's Joe Scarborough has an idea for getting great ratings -- dance! dance! dance!"

The best line in the skit comes in the beginning: "Screw Anderson Cooper. Listen, maybe I don't get facials everyday, but listen, I'm a journalist." And there's another cameo from Bill Wolff. Here's the video...

3. Thanks for explaining that; I saw the end and had no clue what
was going on. I'd like to hear how she dissed Joe. Maybe it was bad enough to not even air it and make a joke instead.

I have seen her name around, though.

Maybe I should watch more teevee.

13. She's a radio r/w 'personality' that has occasionally been
asked to do TV, most notably in my recollection prior to the 2004 election.
She was combatting breast cancer awhile ago.
She was also the person who was in Iraq for a few days and tried to enlighten us all
on how marvelous it was over there. That helped my perception; she's full of shit.

6. I never heard about it either
I rarely watch his program. But the tv was left on after Olbermann. I walked in here just before that bit. He had some guests on discussing oil exploration, so I lingered and am glad I did.

15. Of course not!
Although he has is moments. Maybe he's just more clever than Tweety at this game. And I suppose Laura must have dissed him severely.
I mean, her face in a toilet? That's so mean it's good.

36. Joe is still a repuke. He's a rare one though who frequently uses
reality and logic to form opinions. He seems to be much more rational and pleasant than your garden variety repuke. He's like a carnival freak to many of us. An oddity, that we enjoy watching.
A rational repuke! Imagine that! :wow:

he reads DU to see what kind of reception he's getting.

Joe, if you keep this up. :toast:

19. Do you ever listen to Lionel?
He's on the radio same time as Malloy. Anyhow, Joe S. exasperates him and Lionel does the funniest Scar impressions. Plus, he likes to dissect the fallacies and flaws in Scarborough reasoning.

23. Lionel does a great show
I know he doesn't get talked about much on DU, since he's on most stations at the same time as Malloy. He is, however, on many AAR affiliates.

It's a great listening experience, especially since he's one of the best talk show hosts in regard to handling callers. His Saturday afternoon show is especially good, since that's the one that's heard more often, particularly on RW talk stations. Meaning that more dittoheads call and give him shit. Lionel, a former attorney, swats 'em all down cold.

I definitely recommend people check him out. A little more centric than Malloy, but he's not as abrasive about it as someone like Ed Schultz.

29. He's a guy who had an epiphany
He used to be softer on W but that's all past tense. Now he talks freely about the administration lying us into war and also entertains questions and guests on LIHOP and MIHOP. Although he says he's "just asking questions", I'm thinking it may be deeper than that. I think he's just trying to keep his right wing audience close so they'll keep listening. It's like he's on a mission.

Some of his best nights are when he keeps dufus after dufus on the phone trying to help them understand what's really going on. Those calls are priceless. No talk show host has ever been more patient. On the other hand, he can be more brutal with wingnuts than Malloy. An interesting guy.

18. Something I've been noticing about the MSNBC Rethugs
Edited on Tue Aug-15-06 09:00 PM by Fighting Irish
Both Tucker and Joe have had moments of clarity.

Once in a while, they'd show flashes of liberalism, other nights it's fire-breathing GOP rhetoric. There's been times when I thought Tucker had actually turned.

Perhaps they realized that Keith O. is the only one getting decent ratings there, and they'd better hop on the 800 lb. gorilla's back.

Joe better be careful. The Rove mafia will tear him apart over the dead intern harder than the left ever did.

25. Yes, believe it or not
I even saw him once on Bill Maher. Tucker looked ashamed to be a Republican when discussing the Iraq War.

And I've even heard him say other things that absolutely shocked me, making me think that the stuff he did on "Crossfire" was all an act.

Sounds like the best thing to happen on MSNBC since Keith Olbermann destroyed an Ann Coulter doll by bashing it on his desk.
