Mike Allen on K.Olbermann/Countdown tonight -- just awful

Wow, I'm watching tonight Countdown w/ Keith tonight, and this Mike Allen guy (Time Magazine) is one of the most god awful on-air journalists I've ever seen. Pretty disappointing considering Countdown's usual quality.

... on Dems being in league with al Qaeda.

The guy just reiterated the Right Wing talking points, and said Republicans will do what Republicans will do. It's worked for them in the past, so of course they'll do it again.

Have *any* of the so-called journalists highlighted the recent articles highlighting that an overwhelming majority of security experts believe that we're losing the fight against global terrorism, largely because of the Iraq war?

WE KNOW FROM DOCUMENTARY EVIDENCE that Rummy and Gen.Miller cooked up the whole system, starting at Gitmo. Sure there were improvisations on the theme. But it was all "torture/humiliation/sex abuse is ok now" crapola from the top.

I am shocked and disappointed at this development.Is he lying? Ignorant? Or???

I saw him on late with Matthews after the Lamont victory and he was rolling out the "This is great for republicans" "loony left" "split in the party" spin ad nauseum. He was immediately followed by David Schuster who said basically "I will have to disagree with everything Mike Allen just said". He's a tool.
