Or perhaps extreme hot weather. Something will no doubt come along to dominate the media and take the heat of Bush, Cheney and the rest of em. Course I guess it doesn't take a lot to dominate the media when you own it huh? All you have to do is find someone that was murdered or is missing on a small island somewhere.

2. Atmosphere is looking pretty chaotic right now.

Some very interesting loops at NOAA with all sorts of stuff tossing and churning.

However, I do not think at this point that a hurricane would take the heat off Bush, just remind everyone of Katrina and Rita. Not that I hope one happens. It would be just fine by me if they formed up and circled menacingly without making landfall.

And I don't think the prospect of Chertoff going before cameras again does them any good.

What they really need is another post-deathbed president.

4. It's gonna be a mild hurricane season. Reminds me of last year's flu

season. Everybody was so worried because of the previous flu season, and it ended up being a non-event.
