2. It depends on whether or not he wants to run in 2008
If he wants to run, he should definately consider saying something - but even that isn't 100%. Him speaking up would be returning to a political life; a sign he wants to run in 2008; he might benifit more frmo staying out of it and getting "drafted" a little later in the season.

If he genuinely doesn't want to run again, he doesn't have to say anything.

3. Why should he?
I think Lieberman is his own worst enemy right now.

However, I am ashamed of those Dems that have
sided with him.

I also think that Reid should strip Lieberman of all
his Dem leadership positions.

4. I saw an interview (somewhere} before the primary
and he said he would support the democratic nominee whoever that may be.

7. Right.
Gore was very clear about how
he view Lieberman when he snubbed
him during the primaries.

I'm not losing any time
wondering whether Gore supports
a progressive like Lamont or an enabler
like Lieberman.

It don't take a fortune teller to
read THOSE tea leaves!

8. Absolutely no reason for him to--he is not a politician anymore
By his own admission, he is a private citizen.
To start with, Lieberman was chosen as his running mate by the Democratic leadership, not because of a lifetime friendship.
Secondly, he didn't campaign for NoMoJoe, so he has no obligation.
Thirdly, he has said he will support who the people chose.

10. Gore isn't running
Edited on Tue Aug-15-06 10:47 AM by Protagoras
and if he decided to run if he talks about Lieberman he'd then have to explain what he was smoking when he put him on the ticket.

Gore has a very focused and solid GLOBAL cause he is spearheading now...if he ventures back into our politics he detracts from his cause. I wish he were our president but I'm damn glad he's moving things forward in waking people up to Global warming.

13. I think at just the right time that Gore will come out for Lamont in
a very dramatic fashion.
