2. He'd stick his finger up to the wind & check
If the vote was already decided, he would vote with the Democrats.

If the vote hung in the balance, I think he would vote against impeachment.

3. Lieberman?
I doubt most Dems will vote impeachment when the time comes. I doubt there'll even be an inquiry.

4. nope.
JoeTheHo would mischaracterize any such effort as 'purly partisan in motivation', I'm sure.

6. If he somehow survives, Bush and Rove will totally own his ass
No way would he vote to impeach. An impeachment trial in the Senate is an unlikely hypothetical in any case, but were it to somehow happen, no way.

8. Lieberman won't vote to impeach because he is a SENATOR.
The House votes to impeach (or not).
The Senate votes to convict (or not).

Article 2, section 1.

15. Not a chance
We'd be treated to a sanctimonious preachy speech on the importance of our way of government and how dreadful all this partisanship over nothing really is... blah, blah. We must not use the ultimate weapon of impeachment so lightly. And more of the same.

All announced with a very sadder, but wiser demeanor, truly sorrowful that we small folk just don't understand the situation as he does.

I can see it all now, unfortunately.

16. If Lieberman manages to win this time around
he's going to be more Republican than ever. He won't even have to pretend that he's a Democrat anymore. He'll count himself with the Republicans if it comes down to counting a majority.
