There are much better targets than anything in my hometown.

I don't fly anywhere - can't afford a vacation.

I am afraid of losing my job and not being able to get another. I'm in my mid-40s, not a good job hunting age for a woman. I am afraid of getting sick and not being able to afford health care. I have insurance, but the coverage is poor and getting worse. I am afraid I may have to leave my job in order to care for my elderly parents. I am afraid I will always have to work hard because I won't be able to afford to retire.

I am afraid of what the administration may do to hold on to power.

Yup - that's about it, terrorists? Nah. More likely to be struck by lightening and not be able to afford the ambulance ride to the ER.

7. Although I have more fear then I care to have, fear of terrorists or of

the US being attacked again is so far down the list it's almost non-existent in comparison.

Although I don't know how the polls run, most Americans I've spoken with are more a lot more afraid of not being able to provide for their themselves or their family then of "terrorists".

12. While I am quite certain that there will be another terrorist attack,

I am not fearful for myself, because I don't think it will happen here where I live. The fear factor is still there, and I have family that lives in a more likely area to be hit. I also fear my government because of the way they are curtailing our freedoms and using the risk of a terrorist attack to do so. Capturing or killing Osama would give a lot of people a false sense of security and the neocons wouldn't want to lose that wedge. That's why Osama is still on the loose.

Sad really. And you may be right about Osama, he's good for an invisible boogy man now, but they always have him as a trump card. Even if he was found dead in the desert, bush would take credit and use his corpse at the convention.
