At the bottom of the LGBT forum is an ad linking to this site.

I haven't complained about any ads since you have instituted them. But this is beyond the pale. This is like having the Klan advertise in the racism forum.

Thank you.

3. Google is the one who determines which ads get placed...
It's more or less an automated issue, which isn't DU's fault... And how the ads are made and labeled, it's a glorious accident that the wrong ads get put up.

Don'cha love computers? Microsoft logic...

4. Unfortunately, I don't think the admins have control over this...
Google is the one you should complain to (rightly so).

Damn... that's a shitty ad placement!

5. Disturbing and a bit weird. Luckily . . .
It doesn't seem to work, either -- none of links launch anything.

7. The link on the ad worked
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 08:12 PM by dsc
I will see if I can fix the link I provided. The link works for me but requires active x and thus the latest version of ME.

12. FWIW, I was able to get to the site . . .
But not get in. Perhaps there's some sort of telepathic filter set up that prevents nonbelievers from entering the temple.

13. I didn't try to get in
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 08:19 PM by dsc
I only tried the ad to see if it was what I feared. On edit I was able to get in it appears that their entry gateway is skewed. Try going slightly above where it says enter.

8. Does DU not have any options about ad placement?
Do they have to accept any sewage that comes down the pipe?

Jesus Christ, I mean cable news networks can refuse far less objectionable advertising.

Is it too much to ask of Internet ad agencies?

:wow:

That is beyond tasteless.

It could be worse. Could have been the Fred Phelps mafia.

This is so absurd it's actually kind of funny.

I'd love it if they spent a bundle not just on Google ads, but everywhere and anywhere they'd get a 'fuck you' style reception!!!

This ad promotes the violation of LGBT Civil Rights.

And - I'm sick and tired of "Christians" who can't tell the difference between ego-tripping show-bizzy liturgy and genuine spirituality.

Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 08:29 PM by Connie_Corleone
I've done that myself with my website. You might have to post in the ask the moderator forum. Do we still have that?
