George "macaca" Allen

Sen George Allen, a possible presidential candidate for 2008, made a demeaning remark to a volunteer of Indian descent who was working for Democrat James Webb's campaign. Apparently "macaca" is a Tunisian slang for monkeys, derived from Macaque Macaca. Allen's mother is a Jewish immigrant of Tunisian orgin, so he knew what he was talking about. They are trying to spin "macaca" as a variant of Mohawk hairstyle. First, Sidarth does not have a Mohawk style and second, from mohawk to macaca is a bit of a stretch, even for verbally challenged republicans.
