Joe a Dem? Make him prove it!
From dailykos.com:

CT-Sen: Joe a Dem? Prove it.
It's now in all practical terms official. With Bush's blessing, Joe is the favored Republican candidate in the Connecticut Senate race. And the GOP is going to put its money where its mouth is:

A Republican campaign fund-raiser based in Washington, who spoke on condition that he not be identified by name, said, "There's a definite sense among a significant number of the Republicans who I deal with that Joe Lieberman is a man of principle and a man we should support." This fund-raiser said he'll contribute money to Lieberman's campaign and raise money for him.

Joe continues to insist that he is a true blue Dem. Well, Joe, if that's the case then there are a few things you should be willing to do for your party.

  1. Campaign with your fellow Democrats for Connecticut's House seats. That means campaigning against your good buddies Shays, Simmons, and Johnson. You've talked about how Lamont's candidacy hurts those downticket races, so here's your chance to save the day. Campaign for Joe Courtney, Diane Farrell, and Chris Murphy.

  2. Pledge now that you will vote for Harry Reid for Senate Leader if the good people of Connecticut choose to send you back to Washington.

  3. Stop being the tool of the GOP by demanding that they stop using your race as a talking point.

  4. Stop the divisiveness, charges of anti-Semitism, and race-baiting that your spokesperson Dan Gerstein promotes. Fire Dan Gerstein.

These are just a few steps Joe could take to renew a bit of his standing as a Democrat. But I'm not holding my breath.

1. That "still a Dem" ship SAILED when he started his own political Party.
He's _NOT_ a Democrat.
He's a "ConnecticutForLieberman-ite",
and he HAS BEEN since the morning after
he lost the Democratic Primary.

If he was still a DEMOCRAT,
I wouldn't be allowed to post THIS:

2. It would still be a good idea to make him talk about being a Democrat
...to make him take the Bushist stand that it's the *Democrats* and not the Bushists who are responsible for the horrible state the world and country are in. I'd like to see him make that claim in Connecticut, over and over, and try to get elected on it.

4. Oh yes, I TOTALLY agree. There's NO WAY that would be good for Joe.
Joe is his own worst enemy; we need to keep him from
distancing himself.. from himself.

5. I don't even think he's an American anymore...
He supports those who would ruin this country. Openly!

6. The ONLY way Joementum could possibly prove he's a Democrat is to
openly support Lamont 100%, give him ALL his campaign money, and volunteer to work for Lamont for four years, 24/7.

But first he has to prove he's human.
