Lamont's victory could be the best thing for Republicans if....
If Lamont gets a huge chunk of money, volunteers and media attention at the detriment towards other Senate and House races. Now don't get me wrong, I want Lamont to win. Hell, look at my registration date, it's obvious I came to DU in part because of Lamont. I started hearing about DU from my other Lamont groups.

Having been so involved in the Lamont race, I worry that other races are being looked over. It's certainly not Lamont's fault. All of the fault is placed squarely upon Lieberman. If asshat wasn't running, than this wouldn't be an issue. However, I'm friends with someone who does fund raising research for a Congressional candidate and it is tough for them because so many Democrats are close to being maxed out. Where's the best resources going to go? Towards Lamont who is receiving tons of media attention or towards Congressional candidates A,B &C who are just $250 dollars from tipping the scale or gaining momentum.

Anyway, Lamont's victory could help to get Democrats excited 12 weeks before the voting, but I think this is something to watch out for. If anything start using Lamont's victory as a starting point in conversations. "So did you hear about that race in CT? Well you know right here in CA, NY, IL, NV, WY, whatever, we have a hot Congressional race ourselves." Okay, done expressing concerns. You may resume regular DU activity.

1. Yet another reason why lieberman is a trator to democratic party
He's doing damage to the democratIC party nation wide. Because a lot of money will have to be put into Lamonts campaign, putting othres candidates i jepordy.

Way to go, joe ; (

2. a conundrum
I just read on MSNBC that Lieberman is expecting and getting lots of bipartisan money. What are we supposed to do??

The race in my district isn't even close so if I donate time it will be time lost and I don't have much money to give.

3. Same Here....
I don't think Sarasota County has elected a Democrat since I've lived here.... since around 1980!!!

I could be wrong, but don't think I am!

And then, HAVE to vote for Bill Nelson or I get to have Cruella down my neck AGAIN, she's been the Representative of the 13th District here for the last 2 terms! What do you suppose the Democrats around here do??? I am connected locally, but we get updates on who the "best Repukes" would be to vote for!! How's that for LOTS OF FUN????

While we have Democrats running for Congress, most other races don't even have ANY Democrats running!

5. True
But what happens when people start giving to Lamont's campaign more than to DCCC and DSCC
