Nelson relatives in Harris' corner? (more idiocy from Katie) ROTFLMAO

Kind of like that caller to the Limpballs show. You know, the "I'm a life-long Democrat, BUT..." type.

Seems everyone in Florida is somehow related to Bill Nelson. Even his distant cousin, that he doesn't know is voting for Harris.

On the campaign trail, U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris says Democrat Bill Nelson is so liberal that even his own family is turning on him.

Proof, she says, came at the Wausau Possum Festival two weeks ago in rural Washington County in the Florida Panhandle, where Nelson's family roots lie. That's the county where his mother, Nanny Myrle Nelson, grew up.

"I even had Bill Nelson's relatives coming up saying: We love him but, hey, he's not voting and doesn't vote our conscience in Washington, D.C., and we are going to support you," Harris said during a speech to the Collier County Republican Party last week.

It may seem unbelievable that Nelson's own family is voting against him, but Jennifer Bau, one of the 22,000 people who live in Chipley, says it's true. Although Nelson said he's never heard of Bau, she says they are distant cousins. And she said she's one of those who told Harris she'll support her over Nelson.

1. Wow. Really grasping at straws here.

So, a distant cousin that Nelson has never even heard of is voting for harris? What news. Now that really evens it up for harris. All was lost until an unknown person who is distantly related to Nelson says she isn't voting for him... whew! Lucky harris found her in time. :eyes:

Wait, upon rereading, the newspaper is saying that because this Bau lady is saying their related, this must be true? Well, ok then, I might be a far distant cousin twice removed from bush, and I didn't vote for him. So, now people who claim to be distant family members are voting against bush. What a story!

5. Hell, even The Twins aren't voting for Harris!
And they're related to her (by money and surgery)! They're upset because she's been keeping them in the dark. Oh, and trying to suffocate them with tight fabrics!

Bake

Because no Katherine Harris thread is complete without the obligatory reference to The Twins, Spunk and Moxie.

7. Only $8 million to go, Katie, then you'll be broke
Remember, I've got your grocery cart covered. It's on me, as soon as that $10 million is flushed down the toilet.

8. Bill Nelson liberal?
Ha, ha, ha. Don't I wish. Just shows you how much of a right-wing nutjob she is. It's pretty bad when a conservative dem is considered a dangerous liberal.

9. It's called "Branding" and the Repukes do it well
Edited on Tue Aug-15-06 07:28 AM by maxrandb
In Repukelickworld

- JFK is now a moderate Republican
- Bill Nelson is a pinko communist socialist McGovernite
- FDR is a conservative Democrat

It works on talk radio too. Think of all the callers to the Limpballs and Insanity Show that preface their statement with; "I'm a life-long Democrat, BUT...", or Tammy "I'm a lesbian Democrat, but just love what the neo-cons are doing" Bruce.

It's their way of trying to make their extreme views look more "mainstream".

Hell, to a brainwashed Freeper, Joe Lieberman is a "dope smoking hippie".

Sorry Katie, but it isn't going to work. My only hope is that she goes after the BFEE like a woman scorned.

Katie, don't worry about losing the election. The way you're going, after it's all over you can start your own sitcom. It is sure to be a hit.
