Harris prevails in vote 'for fun'
that's the ONLY way this witch will win:

KISSIMMEE -- U.S. Senate candidate Katherine Harris won the straw poll at the Osceola Hob Nob on Thursday, picking up 39 percent of the vote, compared with Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson's 36 percent.

Scientific polling consistently has shown Nelson far outdistancing Harris, though the congresswoman from Longboat Key is expected to win the Republican primary. The straw poll results indicate the heavy Republican turnout.

"It's about as unscientific as a poll can be," said Mike Horner, director of the Kissimmee-Osceola Chamber of Commerce, which hosted the Hob Nob. "It's all just for fun."

About 1,500 people showed up to the biennial political event at the Kissimmee Civic Center, with about 400 casting votes in the straw poll for local, state and federal elections.

1. Harris is expected to win her primary? You're kidding!

I find it hard that any human with a pulse would find her as an acceptable alternative to anything or anyone.

Shocking.

Maybe Florida Republicans simply like women with boobs like a cow and a face like a horse. Animal lovers?

3. You got that $10 mill just burning a hole in your pocket, Katie
Do the right thing. As always, I pledge to find you a grocery cart after the election. And maybe even help find the best spots for scrap metal and old TVs.

4. I have utter faith in Katie...
She will remember what the Repub leadership did to her campaign. She'll remember how they all laughed at her as she went through campaign staff like toilet paper. She'll remember how everyone wrote her off as a joke.

And she'll remember what she did in 2000. Just tell us, Kates. Get it off your enormous surgically-enhanced chest. Tell us. We'll be all ears. We promise.

6. I guess some people must still fondly remember her for putting their
hero, George Bush, in office in 2000. We don't need no stinkin' election, we've got corrupt officials and machines that vote the way they're told to vote - by corporate dictum.

I don't think there's anyway she can possibly pull this off, but if she did it would hardly surprise me given all we know now.
