Long-term threat to economy as UK runs out of scientists, CBI warns
http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk_news/story/0,,1843911,00.html

Britain is in danger of running out of scientists because of flaws in its secondary education system, business leaders warn today. Thousands of potential physicians, biologists and chemists are being lost because of a "stripped-down" science curriculum, a lack of specialist teachers and uninspiring careers advice, the Confederation of British Industry claims.
In the longer term, the British economy is under serious threat as its world-class science base is eroded while it faces strong competition from new, as well as traditional, international rivals.

1. Hold On! I thought the U.S.'s scientists were going to the UK for stem
cell research?
So our best and brightest are going there, and their homegrown education system is suffering?

2. Tell them we have plenty in the US that our government
refuses to use. We have idle scientists who are dumbfounded that we have a leader who doesn't believe in anything science has to offer.

3. Give the UK kids rifles and send them to fight for the PNAC...
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 06:02 AM by Hubert Flottz
You can always farm out the science and the doctoring to the school kids in India and China. Those kids will do the work for pennies.

This "New World Order" that the PNAC is shooting for, needs to equalize the quality of life worldwide.

The Homeland Department of the Central Scrutinizer sez...

"The working class in the western world, must learn to work for nothing too, if they want to eat. Let the polluters pollute. Let the profiteers profit. And just shut up and WORK! Hitler didn't need unions and the PNAC don't either! Shut up, WORK, OBEY!"

"Your jobs will all return, when you decide to work for the wages those lucky folks in China earn. The PNAC knows what's best for you, at all times...and don't you forget it."
