Devos Curse Continues
Edited on Sun Aug-13-06 05:34 PM by Upfront
The Detroit Tigers allowed Governor candidate Devos in the tv booth to stink up an half inning. They have lost 5 straight games sense.

3. My Tigers!!
Edited on Sun Aug-13-06 05:56 PM by longship
I remember.

Frank Lary -- the Yankee killer
Don Mossi -- not just a pretty face ;-)
Over a decade of world class catchers -- Dick Brown and Bill Freehan
The fat man with a helluva fastball -- Mickey Lolich
The world's best pinch hitters -- Gates Brown and Charlie "Paw Paw" Maxwell
Home runs *completely-out-of-the-stadium* -- "Stormin'" Norman Cash.

I love the old Tigers. Wish I still lived in Detroit.

5. Yup, the Tige's had a history of great 3rd basemen, too.

Oh, and I also forgot one of the most unforgettable shortstops of all time.

Don Wert, not just an awesome shortstop. After the Tige's won the 1968 world series Wert's comment on live TV was, "These fucking guys are all right." That was before tape delay.

A beautiful moment.

7. How this bad seed from Amway got to be a gubenatorial candidate....
...is beyond me. Would some hard working, gum shoe reporters please do an in depth profile of this criminal family before this asshole ends up being the POTUS.

8. DeVos = Bush with more money and less experience.
It only makes sense that anything he would touch would turn to shit. I guess DeVos did well with daddy's business scAmway though. I'll give him credit for doing a good job of ripping people off, laying of MI workers and investing in China.
