The Term "Rogue State" Is As Meaningless A Meme
as Islamofascism or axis of evil, or any of the other labels thrown from any quarter of the political debate. Such terms describe nothing and they're used almost exclusively to damn "the other side". Calling the U.S. and Israel rogue states- which gets done quite frequently around here, is no more intelligent or probing than calling Iran and North Korea rogue states.

1. Every democrat should be able to see difference between US & North Korea.
Here is big hint #1: democracy. While I do indeed believe that the GOP is now taking us a small way in the direction of North Korea, it is only a small way. We still have an elected Congress, and a somewhat independent judiciary. We still have freedoms of speech and assembly and political participation, of the sort that are only a distant dream for North Koreans. We have a liberal and wealthy economy, that creates a huge disparity between us and North Korea.

I wish every idiot who cannot see the difference would go visit North Korea for a few months. The difference is not rhetoric. It is real. Kim Jong Il really is a tyrant, and really is reigning over an impoverished and unfree people.

2. to understand rogue state
you first have to realize that it's not about dictators and tyrants, Many of the powerful never met a dictator and madman they couldn't stomach. The point of contention is whether they come under globalist control or not. Very few states left in the world qualify for this distiction, and they ALL have big fat targets painted on them when it comes to the grand chessboard.

3. Likewise, "Israel defending herself" while indiscriminately bombing.

4. Yeah, I don't think
repeating over and over again, in the face of so many civilian deaths, that Israel is just defending itself, is a thoughtful response either, but it's not exactly a widely used label- In fact, it's not a label at all. What I'm pointing out, is that when we start start tossing out the same shit from the left, that the right throws out, we're engaging in precisely the same intellectually bankrupt practices that we decry.
