Did anyone see that on CNN, too? I can't find a thread.
At the top of the 1PM Eastern Time hour, CNN reported that Britain wanted to wait another week before making their recent arrests of the terrorists. They wanted to gather more evidence. But the US pressured British authorities to move up the arrest date.
The report went no further and then CNN launched This Week At War.
Bush's higher approval ratings will hold if it turns out that the additional evidence the Brits were waiting to obtain turns out to be needed for a conviction.
Maybe so they could have announced it before Lieberman's primary....
These assholes make everything political.. and what the fuck do we know about capturing terror plot suspects?
The only one we got was that sham they called the Miami 7. The British law enforcement agents used the law to get legal warrants and had the FBI use FISA to get the wiretaps and probably will have an airtight case against most of these guys. Anyone we catch can get courts to ponder whether or not to throw out the case or conviction because of the illegality of how that information was obtained....
