This is being written as a journal in democraticunderground.com and crossposted on Dailykos and Myleftwing.
I urge readers of this series to obtain a copy of Unfit Commander by Glenn Smith, the only source of Bush's military papers in chronological order. Where internet references are not easily available I will give page numbers of this book for reference.

One of the things that has outraged me the most about this story is how it was discredited on the most transparently partisan site on the internet, apparently by complete and utter BS and that site’s evaluation of it became “the truth” throughout the media although it is the biggest of BS. They never settled a thing, they just “created controversy.” No one evidently ever thought to check on the veracity of their charges, yr humble undersigned excepted, because I don’t trust the buggers to tell the truth even when they’re only saying “a” “and” and “the.” The Bush people engineered a stampede to trample the story without ever acknowledging their connection to Bush, without him ever making a direct comment about the papers and without ANY official investigation at all about allegedly forged TXANG documents that, if forged, libel the President of the United State and other former ANG officers. Genius, Karl, pure freaking genius! All done in the media by your planted pals to head off an official investigation. Bush pretended it was all about someone else, so did his aides, and the media helped him out in every way.
Umm, excuse me America? Don’t you know when these people are lying to you? This is not how an honest man acts whose record has been assailed with forged documents giving information he HAS to know about---like was he ordered to take the physical or not. This study has forced me to assume that I know a whole lot more about what an honest man does than anybody in the media. And so do you, my Constant Readers

I’ve alluded before to the lies and deceptions I uncovered in this diary: http://www.dailykos.com/story/2005/1/7/114253/7435 Every one of these allegations that I could compare to the record was false, misleading or deceptive. Ive given several examples before in BMHP, here’s one I haven’t mentioned:

“2. CBS admits that it does not have the originals, but only original documents can be proven to be real; copies can never be authenticated positively...repeat: only original documents can be proven real. CBS never had the originals, so CBS knew that it was publishing something that couldn't be assured of authenticity”
This is the biggest of bullshit, not even considering its source. What theyre doing here is trying to pretend that the papers are “unsolvable.” This is BS of the maximo squishiness, designed in part to lead away from the normal conclusion—this is a job for the FBI! Who can solve this in about 2 days!
But they’re trying to say they’re unprovable, can never be authenticated, aren’t they? Think Bush knows if that’s true or not? Hodges? They try to steer attention away from Bush by totally overlooking—not even mentioning-- the solid connection to Bush in every one of them—its BUSH’S name on every one of them and its BUSH theyre talking about, about events that DID happen in his career. But there’s sure no clamor for a statement from him to ID this stuff is there? They’re pretending that these are Killian’s private papers, aren’t they? And CBS went along with it! But someone who has given these documents close study knows they are federal documents. CBS must know—so does the federal government, G Bush commanding.
These papers can be determined to be true or false very easily by the proper authorities—they reference known events like Bush’s mysterious failure to take his physical and Bush’s actual suspension that DID happen on the day the memo says it did. All they have to do is depose the major participants, I bet this wouldn’t even get as far as the FBI crime lab—which could solve this in days. You didn’t see any FBI agents on Fox saying this was unverifiable, did you? Or ANYBODY in uniform, although these are military documents.
Its truly amazing that in the whole CBS investigation Dog and Pony show that no one mentioned it, not even ex Col Hodges who commanded the unit that the papers emerged from. (the 111th is part of the 147th and Hodges was as much Bush’s commander as Killian was)
Bush and the rest never denied that Killian suspended Bush on that day—its in the confirmation documents. They just totally stonewalled any connection of that event to the CBS memo that describes it in detail They trierd—not tried, DID—steer attention away from the fact that Bush has to know whether this is his real suspension order or not.
What Bushco was trying to pretend, what they’ve been trying to pretend for decades, is that Hodges confirmation document : http://www.glcq.com/docs/(72-09-05)flight_status_order.pdf is the original suspension order. Its not—the one Killian gave him on 1st Aug 72—the paper copy of the one referred to as the “verbal order” on the ARPC suspension confirmation—is the real one. And that one is missing from Bush’s. records. Did I say that 2 confirmation documents are there but not the document they’re confirming? It needs to be said over and over, America—someone stole your papers..
Or else they skipped Bush’s company grade commander in the suspension process which is extremely unlikely to the point of impossibility. If however, they did that, then Bush and Hodges have to know that too, and therefore know absolutely that the CBS memo is false. But they won’t say, which can only lead to the conclusion they are real because they are very incriminating to Bush and Hodges.
Bush and Hodges HAVE to know whether the CBS memo is the real order, there’s no wiggle room for them at all. Bush knows whether it’s the one Col Killian read to him –the paper copy of the order that the two confirmation documents are confirming. So does Hodges because he signed the confirmation of it cited above, Rufus Martin too. There was undoubtedly more people who saw it.
Bush also knows whether he was ordered to take his physical or not—a question that he and his aides have just downright stonewalled. Hodges has to know this also but amazingly CBS, Rather and MApes missed this whole thing too. Bush and Co never answered that—never gave a yes or no answer to a question that deserved it. Read it right out of CBS where they buried it on the 2d to last line: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2004/09/30/politics/main646621.shtml “The White House did not answer whether Bush disobeyed a direct order to take the exam….”
Don’t you know when these people are lying to you America? Or holding out on critical information? C‘mon folks, they do it all the time.
You can see that the BS was designed to lead people away from the facts that A) George Bush knows whether these are real and B) that the papers can be verified very easily by the proper authorities.
Why aren’t these people demanding that there be an official investigation and prosecution of the “forgers?” Because, with the help of CBS, the idea has been firmly planted in the public mind that these are “private documents,” that somehow, Col Killian, a rogue commander, was sitting there drunkenly writing memos to himself and no body else had aaaaaaany idea what he meant by them.
America—these people are lying to you.

I’m giving my updated report/demand (appendix B in the investigation demand) . I hope it states my case well. Bear in mind, as you accuse me of wordiness that I’m only stating part of the whole case against Bush, the part that concerns the CBS papers. There’s whole other parts of this story I haven’t given enough attention to like all of the rest of the falsifications in Bush’s paperwork. I know I’ve done a lot about this but there’s a lot more to say and I’ll be saying it more in future BMHP’s.
