Women in Iraq - News Not So Good
The women in Iraq were some of the most independent in the Arab world. Not any more.

Rape, honor killings and staying inside the house are back in a big way. Women are always the ones who take it in the teeth. In every conflict. Guess that this shouldn't come as a surprise.

2. I can't even imagine what all of this violence is doing to the
children in Iraq - and in Lebanon and Israel.

It has to be just awful.

3. We've created exactly what we didn't want.
A new Islamic state. I'm sure Iran is ecstatic over this turn of events.

4. Who cares?
they're ONLY women. Who needs 'em?

They SHOULD BE society's prisoners, locked at home, not driving the streets or getting an education or adding skills to the communities where they live.

They should be in the kitchen or the bedroom. Keeping their mouths shut.

Yes! We're winning hearts and minds as we bring to the world a "new and improved"      Middle East at $300,000,000 a DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:sarcasm:

7. Sad, isn't it?

In 2003, in Iraq, you could worship in a Christian church, buy American CDs, and a woman could hold whatever job she chose and attend college to realize her goals.

Then we invaded Iraq. To make it better.

Because WE are the US and we are BETTER than everyone else, and we decided that only Muslim radical men should have control in Iraq. Screw the Iraqi women and screw the Iraqi Christians and to hell with the Iraqis who are secular and moderate. We REFORMED IRAQ!

Because we know best!!!!!!

SICKENING!!!!!!

8. Yes, it is.
Sadaam's rape rooms were ghastly. But I think probably more women are affected by this whole thing now than ever were before.
