Newsweek's Michael Isikoff on Today Show slammed Bush Administration.
He said it like it is. Dick Cheney played the terror card by making press releases the night before the liquid explosives terrorist plot was made public, did it for purely political reasons. Republicans are using terror to make points. Spoke about how unusual it is for Cheney to call in the press, he normally doesn't have much to do with them. Thinks they might be getting a bit desperate with the mid-terms so close, and polls showing growing public displeasure and outright hostility toward GOP.

I thought it was a good interview, and the truth was certainly spoken. I can't remember his name (not enough coffee yet this morning), but the good looking black guy did the interview. He's much better than Matt Lauer, they should put him on during the week and give Lauer the weekends, when fewer people watch, because he sure is a better journalist than Lauer is.

8. Yes! Lester Holt. Thank you. Great guy, NBC should do more with him.
He's good looking, speaks well, has a great personality, and seems to mesh well with a wide variety of people. I hope he maintains his integrity in spite of all the opposition, he should do really well in the business. And he has a great voice, too. Very easy to understand, unlike many on TV today.

10. If it was Lester Holt....
He is as big a right wing tool as any you can name. He just doesn't stray from the script and reads what is placed in front of him.

Watch out for people who talk out of the side of their mouth in order to sound "proper".
I have friends with this mind set and even a family member.

3. It works so they will use it. Heck I hear people saying there is
a 'commie' under every bed just about daily and that was the battle cry of the 50's so we could build up to the Cold War. Not much different now right down to going after college teachers because they do not 'think' the right way. One must always watch what its gov. is doing. No gov. can be trusted with to much power. It goes to their heads. Took a long time for any one in Congress to speak up about all those 'black lists' type stuff etc.

5. Don't forget. They also used it to start a war in Vietnam.
BTW, I remember being terrified of Communists when I was young in the '50s, and we were required to read and study "Americanism vs Communism" (I think that was the name of the book) before we could graduate from high school.

11. Yar the reds were going to take over all of Asia.
It is the same thing and it works over and over. And of course war will fix it. Trouble is war does not always fix it and just to get the feel of that read maybe about 200 years of History of Europe about the same time we have been a country. One has to think what makes people bomb Tokyo and Dresden in 1945 and kill over 100,000 people, with fire bombs when that war was just about over and we just have to see some people like war. We of course did not wish to count the dead in those two things either as people said it was well over 200,000 in each. I sure like my country but I do not always like what it did or does. Time to solve some problems with out war. Wars are just wasteful even if the corp. makes great profits.

4. Nice. Lester Holt is much better than Lauer, although I fear eventually
he'll get sucked into the "happy talk while the world burns" format, like David Gregory. :-(

Anyway, it's nice to hear that portions of the MSM are starting to call BS on this admin.

About freakin' time. MKJ

9. Hardly.
His professional colleagues suffer from the same malady as he does: lack of any sense of priority or judgment. A scandal is a scandal whether it's about a dress stain or lying us into a war. Isikoff was highly admired by his colleagues when he was walking point for Blowjob Patrol, just as they admire him now.
