The Bush administration has its priorities
Posted 11:15 am | Printer Friendly

There seems to be a pattern. Before 9/11, the Bush administration de-emphasized counter-terrorism. Before Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, the Bush administration slashed funding for the Army Corps of Engineers, levee construction, and the Southeast Louisiana Urban Flood Control Project.

And in advance of a terrorist plot to carry explosives onto U.S.-bound planes, the Bush administration asked to cut funding for explosive-detection technology.

4. Can't get there from here!
Bluffton's across the border from Savannah, Georgia. And I didn't know where Wando was until I looked it up just now.

Curmudgeons are like that! B-)

but they would have to buy it from another country, so they are trying to invent one of our own. In the meantime we have the airport chaos.

There is another priority. They have not given up on dismantling Social Security. Here is a good link to their latest on Social Security.

The republicans plan to call it "strengthening Social Security" during the elections, when it is privatization. Another transfer of wealth from the middle class to the rich. It may have already been done, as they are using our surplus to pay expenses, while giving tax cuts to the rich.
