John Dean slumming at O’Reilly's
O’Reilly had John Dean on to discuss his new book, Conservatives Without Conscience, and as usual O’Reilly really didn’t want to talk about the book.

O’Reilly goes on the old line of debate asking Dean if his rights have been violated in anyway by Bush’s policies. Of course like any American, how would Dean actually know? When someone taps your phones they don’t send you a singing telegram to announce it.

The best part comes towards the end when O’Reilly criticizes Dean for making personal attacks in his book (yet Ann Coulter does a great job at speaking the truth in the eyes of people like O’Reilly). You can tell O’Reilly gets upset that Dean had some criticism for Newt and couldn’t resist coming to his defense.

1. O'Reilly claims tobe a independent
For someone who claims tobe a independent he sure does protects the neo-cons. he always bashes Democrats except of coarse Lieberman.

2. I will bet you
"I will bet you the best dinner in the gaslight district of San Diego
that military action will not last more than a week. Are you willing to
take that wager?" (Fox News Channel's Bill O'Reilly, 1/29/03)

3. Dean's book is even better than his last book.
I listened to it (on CD) during commutes - very thought provoking. Given what he has written and experienced, I would guess that he was well prepared for the direct and indirect attacks that O'Rielly might have launched at him.

5. Read it and you'll understand so much
We often wonder how the heck they can say and do some of the things they do. This book explains why. They're authoritarians, and they have a completely different way of looking at the world. Dean explains it so well.

6. I got it from iTunes and will start listening to it tomorrow. I'm
interested in the psychology aspects of the Republican mind.

Perfect case of misdirection. Obviously, O'Reilly hasn't thought about the book and probably doesn't have anything intelligent to say about it. I only hope that Dean didn't let him get away with it.

The best part comes towards the end when O’Reilly criticizes Dean for making personal attacks in his book (yet Ann Coulter does a great job at speaking the truth in the eyes of people like O’Reilly).

WHUT? Is he familiar with Ann Coulter's work, or is that OK because she's a Patriotic American (tm)?

7. That would imply that O'Reilly (himself) never makes personal attacks
If O'Reilly walked into the same room I would have to leave as I consider him to be on the low end of human decency.
