Ticketless, Passportless guys without Chemicals shut down Air service.
Is that what we're talking about here?

WHY?

Are we "fighting them over there" because they can't GET HERE?

No passports
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14320452 /

LONDON - NBC News has learned that U.S. and British authorities had a significant disagreement over when to move in on the suspects in the alleged plot to bring down trans-Atlantic airliners bound for the United States.

A senior British official knowledgeable about the case said British police were planning to continue to run surveillance for at least another week to try to obtain more evidence, while American officials pressured them to arrest the suspects sooner. The official spoke on condition of anonymity due to the sensitivity of the case.

In contrast to previous reports, the official suggested an attack was not imminent, saying the suspects had not yet purchased any airline tickets. In fact, some did not even have passports.

when even just the hint of an attack sends our leaders and the media into a feeding frenzy.

How many billions did this little fiasco just cost all of us?

16. Really, at the end of it all
We'll spend a lot of money and then give all those persons free medical care for
life, if they are deemed guilty of a crime.

The little fiasco cost you a labour government in britain, as when the truth breaks
through, and these persons are exhonorated having committed no crime, the winners
will be the british opposition party. Blair is such a moran, tagged and bagged along
with the rest of britain in to bush's back pocket by an outside rimshot...

15. eoehhhhna need verification they had no passport. where
did you hear this. it is important to all those that had to throw out hundreds of dollar of stuff. wasnt the whole purpose because they thought some might have gotten thru ergo all carry on stuff had to be trashed. if they had no ticket and especially no passport, there is no way there were possible terrorists to get on a plane, causing such extreme measures

23. can i say i told you so? :-)
i didn't know that some didn't have passports, but i'd seen earlier reports that no tickets had yet been purchased, it was even published on yahoo news yesterday

i think a lot of media just relies on people skimming the headlines because sometimes the truth is actually buried down at the bottom of some of these news reports

i would love to have an apology from the scaredy-cats who were posting like mad yesterday about how "grateful" they were that they or their girlfriend or their 12 kittens wasn't blown up on thursday -- we had an extended discussion -- i linked repeatedly that the plotters had not yet bought air tix and no one was in any danger -- but the chicken littles want to be scared, it makes them feel important, like they're the star of their own sick movie

get me off this planet! no intelligent life down here!
