How should the Democrats respond to this latest Repug offensive?
The Repubs have even recruited Joe Lieberman to assist in painting the Democrats as unwilling and unable to protect the American people. Democrats are compared to the Taliban and the al Qaeda. In other words, weak and defensive.

What should be the Democrats response? Who should respond? Howard Dean? Other Democratic leaders? What should they say?

Perhaps they should wrap up all the Republican ideas into one big sock and hit Joe Lieberman upside the head with it? Kill several birds with one stone?

4. Bin Laden is free, Iraq is a mess and distracted us from
going after the real terrorists who attack us.

10. Should that be the message?
That is what I was asking? I was not suggesting the Democrats had no response.

5. May I suggest:
Republicans want more terrorism, not less...
Democrats want no diversions, just successes.

Or somethin' close (?)

6. We should send E-mails
to the media giving our side. All the things the Republicans are saying about Lamont and the net lefties are lies.

7. Ask yourself to name one Iraqis arrested over this plot.
Name one Iraqis who was in the plane that hit the WTC or Pent or PA on 9/11.
Then ask them how afghanistan is going.
Then ask the GOP to explain support for Al Sadr in Iraq when he killed American soldiers.
Have voters ask these questions and the failures are obvious

11. I'm thinking this may be the most effective response..
The Repubs have been fighting terrorism the wrong way all along. When all you have is a hammer, everything looks like a nail. It's about time we used our intelligence.

9. Democrats are not afraid of terrorists
We have concern but we also have faith in our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Agencies and after all that is what stopped this last foiled effort. It wasn't killing people in Iraq that foiled a new terrorist attempt it was vigilence on our Law Enforcement and Intelligence Agencies. We have been very strong advocates for those agencies while Republicans have often cut funding and programs that would have made these agencies stronger. That Clinton's hundred thousad cops on the street program. It was a "first responder" based program that Republicans immediately cut when they gained control. We have a deep concern about terrorism but we are not afraid and we don't want the American people to be afraid because we will catch them before they can harm us or if per chance a crazy person does complete an attack we will make sure those "first responders" will have everything needed to do their jobs. We do make America safe while Republicans talk about it and accomplish the opposite. Vote Democratic for a Safe and Secure America.
