WTF!! Airports Giving Confiscated Liquids To Homeless; Selling On E-bay!!!
How can they give the confiscated airport items to the homeless if they don't know if they're explosives or not?
by John in DC - 8/12/2006 12:04:00 AM

I'm talking about the new things they're confiscating at the airport. They say the products are unopened, but they're giving them to the homeless in Phoenix. Okay, then how do you know they're not explosives that you're handing to the homeless, since you haven't opened them? Apparently, the airport people, in Phoenix at least, know quite well that the stuff they took off of the passengers in line were not explosives. So why did they take it in the first place?
Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport planned to give 11 boxes of surrendered items to the city's human services department, which will give the unopened bottles of shampoo, toothpaste and other items to homeless shelters, airport spokeswoman Lexie Van Haren said.
Same thing in Pennsylvania - seems YOU can't take it on the plane because it might be a bomb, but THEY can sell it on eBay without knowing if it's a bomb, or they're sure it's not a bomb, so then why did they take it in the first place?:
In Pennsylvania, state officials were considering pulling some discarded items for a state program that resells on eBay any items of value relinquished at airport security checkpoints, said Edward Myslewicz, spokesman for the General Services Department.
It's duct tape all over again.

3. A scam up hill and down dale.
"They'll believe the terror is real if it costs them money!" Or don't they even need to have such a discussion.

4. We've now entered a whole 'nother dimension
The Fifth Amendment to the Constitution:

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.

Read that last phrase and compare it to what these guys are doing, and apparently have been doing for a while.

If we've got people who are charged to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States, it would be very nice if they'd READ the fucking thing.

5. they have known about this possible ploy for over 10 yrs!
this is such bullshit ..its a wonder people could fall for this shit now..

i would have walked out of the airport ..and if people that didn't need to fly had done so this would have been stopped immediately!

its all bullshit!

people please use common sense..

fear is your worst enemy...

not water bottles and toothpaste, and make-up.

there are enough things part of each aircraft that can cause more problems than the bullshit they are feeding the public..

and bin laden knows all of them!

time to put on her nail polish. Nail polish, fer Crist's sake!! That shit has more toxins in
it than cigarette smoke, and once it's released into the airborne environment, well, it
doesn't exactly go away. And how is THAT shit allowed on an airplane to begin with?

Needless to say, the airport crew said NOTHING to this idiot woman!

People are so fucking stupid.

8. actually nail polish is illegal for use on an aircraft!
it is not allowed to be used inflight!

it is highly flamable..as is nail polish remover..and it should be stopped immediately by any flight crew!

it is usually listed as an item not allowed to be used on the aircraft!

18. There ya have it. Amazing that the flight crew ignored it.
It's not like you can't smell that shit a mile away. Even more amazing that it made it through
security. Why am I not surprised?

7. But...
I'm wondering IF someone had refused to dump their stuff, and chose instead to walk out - wouldn't that appear 'suspicious'?

It wouldn't surprise me to hear someone was detained and questioned because of their refusal to cooperate.

9. well as a now retired flight crew if they told me to dump my $300.00
bottle of skin care ..i would walk out!
i use stuff i buy in paris..and its very expensive in the usa..and i assure you my skin care cost more than most flights..

i would walk out ..and just my lipsticks alone, i would walk out!

this is the elephant in the room..

they have known about this ploy for over 10 years..

look there are many things on the aircraft much more dangerous..and bin laden knows exactly what they are!

what people should be concerned about is..in 5 years to date, only 10% of cargo and luggage is checked in the cargo bay of the aircraft...

but getting that checked and secure would not make headlines..and give the pres and blair the media propaganda and the fear factor they want and need ..now would it??

I would demand a refund for my ticket. There is no way I am throwing away my essentials to get on any flight.

20. We gave up the idea of flying just yeterday
Due to the stress it causes me and my spouse.

You make a lot of sense here:
"what people should be concerned about is..in 5 years to date, only 10% of cargo and luggage is checked in the cargo bay of the aircraft..."

This is BS. I want my vacations back!
