Fascism... draws its power from capitalists, members of the military...
... establishment. Any extreme right-wing ideology sometimes involving racism.

Why hasn't the latest right-wing buzz-word, namely, "Islamo-fascism" been challenged. Afterall, Hitler and Mussolini came to an arrangement with the Vatican! Neither being devote Catholics as far as I know.

1. As far as racism, it has to have an underclass to blame for

all it's problems, you know those filthy people who urinate in public or whatever disgusting thing they can accuse them of that has nothing to do with the things they are doing to undermine the society for their profit.

3. Kind of like Hitler going after "Juden"... Chickenhawks... Muslims!
Edited on Sat Aug-12-06 01:33 AM by bananarepublican
Step 1. Dehumanize "your enemy". WWII - Hitler... "unter menschen (sub human), Korean/Vietnam wars - "gooks". WOT? - "Islamo-fascists"... this suggests that if you are a Muslim, you're effectively a Nazi of old.

Step 2. Stage an event and blame it on your enemy.

Step 3. C'mon! Let's stop this madness on November 7.

P.S. As an aside, all this has been done before. When people from different countries, backgrounds, cultures etc. travel, get to understand each other, sit down and talk, rarely does it lead to war.

2. We should stop being reactionary.
While we're spending time trying to defend our selves, the repubs are planing their next move.

We should be forming our own plans, like figuring out better ways to get our message out. We badly need air time.

4. I agree. But we need to fill that air time with two things...
... smack down rebuttals of the oppositions policies, tactics, and vocabulary, as well as, a positive vision for the future.

I believe letting the repugs get away with associating Islam with fascism is just plain wrong.

Challenging them on their vocabulary is just another proverbial feather to our cap.

the fundies like a glove.

I believe the more republican talking heads run off at the mouth, the stupider they look. People are starting to see through their propaganda. Just look at the latest polls. You could say they are self destructing.
