Any DUers want to send a message to Cindy Sheehan?
I am leaving Sunday for Crawford and I would love to take her messages from the wonderful people here who support here.

I was out running errands today and had to go to 3 auto parts stores to find one of those windshield shades. I told the guy who sold it to me that I am going to Texas and was relieved to finally find one, since it is so hot down there. He asked where in Texas and I said "Crawford". Another guy came out from behind the counter and said "Surely you aren't going down there to cheer on the president?" So I told them why I was going to Crawford. They started applauding! Both of them told me to give Cindy good wishes from Kansas. So I thought well I bet there are Duers who want to pass on their support as well.

So write your messages here and I will either print out this thread, or show it to Cindy when I get there. I am not sure about internet access there at her new place but I know they have it at The Peace House.

I will also try to report back here as often as possible. If I can't do that, I will write a report and post it as soon as I get home. And of course, I will take lots of pictures.

53. Hello Cindy. Tell people to pressure General Electric to end the war.
We the people demand that congress pass legislation ending the war in Iraq and withdraw the troops and arrange with the United Nations to replace US troops with UN troops to defend Iraq until The Iraqi army can defend Iraq or we will not buy any General Electric consumer products again.

Call or email defense contractor and Republican contributor General Electric in Connecticut and tell them a boycott on their products exists and that you will boycott their products until the CEO gets the Republican Party to hold a press conference announcing that the congress will pass legislation to end the war in Iraq and that congress actually passes legislation ending the war in Iraq.

The boycott of GE products includes stoves, ovens, refrigerators, light bulbs, RCA TVs and stereo equipment, etc.

You can email General Electric by going to the web site http://www.ge.com

or at their consumer electronics feedback page

https://www.home-electronics.net/CustomerContactUs/1,7315,CNUS-LNUE,00.html

or at their general feedback web page.

https://www.ge.com/ge/feedback.htm

The Republican Party appears weak and vulnerable at the cash registers of the companies that give them money.

9. Cindy,
If I knew some words to help, I would say them.
If I could take you pain away with some action, I would do it.
However let me thank you from the bottom of my heart for
having Casey live on in your words and deeds. You are a
real patriot not some flag waving, talking point saying, follower
of bush & company's awful war that was based on lies.

Your actions will be rewarded and lives will be saved because
of your courage.

All the best!

Thanks for going again. You do us Kansans, well, proud.

Tell Cindy that I stand with her. So does Rex, my husband and, of course, our friend Lauren. Thank her for all her sacrifices. She's got a lot of courage and she's a big inspiration for me.

In fact, I picked up my "Hope in the Heartland" materials this morning and will start canvassing my assigned neighborhoods this evening.

btw, Lauren is going to try to get down there pretty soon herself.

Have a safe trip. :hi:

15. Please pass this on...
Cindy and everyone joining you in Crawford,

We at www.richardpryor.com are very proud of you and the struggles you have faced in the past. We know that it is an uphill battle and every day that you put yourself out there, you are representing all of us who want answers to the same questions you are seeking. WHY?!

Please take care and know that even before his passing Richard Pryor was one of your supporters. Even though he wasn't able to let you know personnally, he was and is still behind your efforts. Mrs. Pryor is also a big fan of you and we all pray for an end to the occupation of Iraq and that no more mothers, wives, fathers, husbands, children and friends have to grieve for the loss of their loved ones in Iraq.

Please take care and be safe!

Trudy and Jennifer

I thought she was in Crawford, Texas.. But Hartmann is on right now, and said a couple minutes ago that Cindy Sheehan had been taken to a hospital in Seattle due to some sort of complications because of her fast.

He didn't know if she had been admitted, or what the diagnosis is.

Is she in Seattle or Crawford?

36. I am aware that she sends thoughtful letters to all of the
Mom's who've lost kids in this senseless war. A dear friend received one and was really touched and moved by it.

I've posted this, my fave blessing other times on this board but I'd love for her to see it and share it with others.

I've sent it to everyone I've known to be experiencing hardship and loss for many years and it says so much more than the obligatory "condolences." Reading it daily helped me through one of my darkest hours as I hope it will many more others. . .

BLESSING

"I send you light to hold you in love.
I send you light to heal you in love.

May you love, honor, and cherish the preciousness and uniqueness
of your own being and of each other being in this world.

May you see your own goodness and beauty reflected wherever you
look. May you be contented and appreciative of all life's
bountiful gifts.

May the splendor and majesty of your being guide your thoughts, words, and actions.

May your pain and fear be transformed into strength, understanding, and compassion.

May the shining light of your being radiate peace and harmony wherever you are.

May you be suffused with happiness, joyfully celebrating each day you are alive.

May you be abundant in all wealth and rich in generosity, sharing your feelings freely.

May you be a soothing balm of kindness and a fragrant blossom of love to everyone you meet.

May you be well whole and healthy.

May the great love and compassion of your heart embrace and help to redeem the suffering of all beings everywhere.

May the inner light of your purity and perfection dissolve the clouds of discord, despair, and conflict.

May the intelligence and wisdom of your infinite mind give you clarity in a confusing world.

May you trust that you are loved, cared for and supported by the infinite always.

May you possess the precious magic jewel of gratitude that transforms all life into a paradise.

May pause for a moment each day to remember this blessing upon you, and calling forth the full power and magnificence of your own being, may you pass it on to all beings everywhere.

I send you light to hold you in love.
I send you light to heal you in love."

Beyond that, thank you for your indomitable strength, courage, and integrity. You are an inspiration to so many.

Peace in our time I swear.
