Maybe it's because it's August here in FL. Maybe it's because of 5 1/2 years of the frumious Bandersnatch in the Oval Office.

Or maybe it's because the thugs might just steal another election this Nov. regardless of what we do.

And yeah, I know all the things we're supposed to do to prevent it and I'm doing as many of them as possible. And yeah, I know Joe went down, but CT is a sane land.

Slaying Jabberwocks is exhausting. How are you all holding up?

17. As long as you're not whiffling through the tulgey wood or burbling
...that's when you really have to worry.

It is exhausting. This past six years have been utterly exhausting...maybe that's how they manage to keep so much of their power, by throwing so many little, horrid obstacles in our paths that we're all just too tired for a real revolt. :(

But I must say, I am loving the responses on this thread. :D It's the little joys that get you through, I guess.

18. "... so many little, horrid obstacles..."
That calls to mind another brilliant Lewis Carroll observation.

"Run, Alice, run."

"I am running, but I'm not getting anywhere."

"Well in this place, you have to run very fast just to stay where you are."

26. Well, that means "The time has come ... to talk of many things.
Of shoes and ships and sealing wax and cabbages and kings. And if the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings."

Given the odor in the Oval Office, one may assume the king is a cabbage eating pig.

and watch the slight toves gyring and gymbling to their hearts' delight!

But you're right, the the frumious bandersnatch has got to go!

25. I hear you...
It's intolerable! If I have to listen to that frumious Bandersnatch burble about 'terra' or 'snicker-snacking Islamo-fascists' one more time, I'll be tempted to take a flying leap onto my vorpal sword!

I look forward to more frabjous days come Nov 7th... :)
