Ohio Minister, Wife, Busted on Kiddie Porn Charges
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 57-year-old minister said in interviews that he touched several children inappropriately during the past 37 years, a U.S. postal inspector testified.

David Waser, former pastor of Newark's Second Church of Christ, also said he had exposed himself to children at church camp and pretended it was an accident, Inspector Marty Arthur said in federal court Wednesday. Both Waser and his wife, Judy, have been charged with receiving and possessing videotapes of child pornography.

The couple face federal charges because the videotapes they are accused of possessing were sent across state lines.

In July, an undercover postal inspector in Missouri sold the couple 10 videotapes containing child pornography, Arthur said. Some involved children as young as 4, officials said.

3. If a pedophile says...
...that he "touched several children inappropriately" that means that he raped several hundred children during the past 37 years.

It takes a while to get the truth out of these monsters.

11. Actually it does, IMO
In general, conservatives tend to supress sexuality in unhealthy ways as opposed to liberals who are more inclined to be open about sexuality. Supressed emotional needs tend to manifest themselves in unhealthy ways. And while molestation is less about sex and more about domination, control and predator instincts, the typical conservative psychological profile is, again, more inclined towards these types of pathologies. (See John Dean's new book)

12. Exactly, that's
opinion, and its nothing but opinion. What's more it categorizes a whole huge swath of people by party affiliation. You can find posts identical to yours over in freeperville, with people using similar 'logic', and coming to opposite conclusions, about why 'liberals' are more likely to be licentious monsters. And referencing John Dean's new book, hardly backs up your argument.

THE GOP PROBLEM WITH CLOSET CASES: VIRULENTLY HOMOPHOBIC & DESPERATE POLITICIANS WHO MOLEST YOUNG BOYS

I would guess that the VAST majority of Americans of all religious and all political persuasions, and of all sexual orientations, are horrified, if not shocked, by the serial scandals in the Catholic Church of systematic molestation, followed by institutional coverup, of young boys by mentally ill predatory priests. These priests were severely repressed homosexuals driven to child molestation by institutions that demand that they never express their sexuality and that they look at themselves as cursed and afflicted. These predator priests have been victimized by a malevolent and primitive Roman Catholic Church obsessed with homosexuality. Similarly the Republican Party has been victimizing homosexuals in it's ranks. A stretch? Not at all. Homosexuality is so anathema within the ranks of today's GOP that gays within the party overwhelmingly hide their preferences and stay in the closet, often LEADING anti-gay crusades either to cover up their own repressed desires or through self-loathing. The ones who "come out," are either outed by someone else, like Congressmen Jim Kolbe (R-AZ) and Steve Gunderson (R-WI) or caught in the act of furtive sex like Congressmen Ed Schrock (R-VA) and Robert Bauman (R-MD). Most gay Republican politicians cower in the closet-- like David Dreier (R-CA), Mark Foley (R-FL), and Jim McCrery (R-LA)-- doing whatever they can to publicly deny their homosexuality. Most of them are not "normal homosexuals" who have healthy consensual relationships with other gay men but are the types caught with young boys in public toilets. And usually the louder and shriller the anti-gay rhetoric you hear, the more perverted the Republican yelling them. Look at Republican activist Steve Wilsey of Dobson's fascistic Focus on the Family. Wilsey was a Focus on the Family's youth counselor and a man who was considered a mentor to kids. He was convicted Dec. 19 of one count of "sexual assault on a child by a person in a position of trust." The judgment came after prosecutors charged Wilsey with molesting an 8-year-old boy--the son of another Focus On the Family employee--over a period of 16 months. GOP activist/anti-gay crusader "Reverend" Stephen White was arrested for soliciting sex from a teenage boy in a Philly suburb. Republican state representative Brent Parker was arrested for soliciting sex from an undercover officer posing as a male prostitute. A couple of weeks ago Hawaii Republican County Councilman Keola Childs pleaded guilty to molesting a male child. Remember G Harrold Carswell, the judge who Nixon tried to force onto the U.S. Supreme Court but who was defeated by Senate Democrats? He was arrested for making a pass at an undercover cop in a public men's room at a Tallahassee, Florida, shopping mall. Republican pols Howard Brooks (a 61-year old aide to California GOP Assembyman Phil Wyman) and Andrew Buhr of Missouri were recently charged with molesting 12 and 13 year old boys and Maine Republican County Commissioner Merrill Robert Barter pleaded guilty last month to unlawful sexual contact and assault on a teenage boy.

James E. West (politician)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search

This article is about the Washington state politician. For the BSA Chief Executive, see James E. West (Scouting). For other similar names see James West

James Elton West (March 28, 1951 – July 22, 2006), best known as Jim West, was the former mayor of Spokane, Washington. He was recalled during a special election held on December 6, 2005. On December 16, the day the votes were officially certified, he was officially stripped of his duties as mayor.

West was a native Spokanite. He served in the U.S. Army after high school and graduated from Gonzaga University with a degree in Criminal Justice in 1978. In 1982 West joined the Washington Legislature as a Republican and served until 2003, when he became mayor of Spokane.

While in the legislature he served as Senate Majority Leader. While in the legislature, West voted in favor of many anti-gay bills, including one that would have banned gays and lesbians from working in schools and day cares, and also proposed to make a law that would ban all sexual activity among persons under the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he regretted voting for those measures. In 1995, when West was a state senator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged sexual harassment.

West was diagnosed with colon cancer in 2003, had multiple surgeries since then, and finally died due to complications on July 22, 2006.<1>

his program examines allegations presented in a book by a very conservative Nebraska state senator concerning organized pedophile rings within the ranks of the Republican party. These alleged activities overlap not only the administration of the elder George Bush but some of the activities involved in the Iran-Contra scandal as well.

1. The program begins with discussion of the arrest of a GOP mayor for allegedly luring a minor for sex. As we shall see, this sort of thing is not as unusual as one might suppose within the ranks of the GOP. The allegations contained in The Franklin Cover-Up put the concept of “family values”—much ballyhooed by the GOP, in a dramatically different light. “Mayor Philip A. Giordano of Waterbury, who lost a long-shot bid last year to unseat Senator Joseph I. Lieberman and whose city has been teetering on the edge of bankruptcy, was arrested in New Haven this morning by federal agents in New Haven and accused of luring a minor for sex. . . . At a news conference at the office of the United States attorney for Connecticut in New Haven, officials said Mr. Giordano had engaged in ‘inappropriate sex’ with ‘children,’ though they did not state the number, age or sex of the victims. The special agent in charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Connecticut, Michael J. Wolf, said, ‘The public expects and deserves utmost honesty, integrity and strong moral fiber from those who serve on their behalf.’ He called Mr. Giordano’s conduct ‘disgraceful.’” (“Connecticut Mayor Is Arrested by U.S. Agents in Child Sex Case” by David M. Herszenhorn; The New York Times; 7/27/2001; p. A19.)

2. According to the conservative Nebraska state legislator John W. De Camp (a decorated Vietnam veteran), the sort of activities that Giordano was accused of engaging in are, to a certain extent, representative of how elements of the GOP get their kicks. While probing the collapse of a Nebraska financial institution, investigators came upon some interesting operations allegedly supervised by a prominent Nebraska GOP bigwig, Larry King (not to be confused with the syndicated talk show host.) Mr. Emory notes that the second edition of the book contains some material which is easily discredited—due, apparently, to De Camp’s having been overly trusting of some of the information being disseminated by the less responsible elements of the militia milieu. (The Franklin Cover-Up; by John W. De Camp; Copyright 1992 by AWT, Incorporated; ISBN 0-9632158-0-9.)

3. De Camp describes Larry King’s political and “extracurricular” activities. “When Larry King traveled the political circuit, he evidently had two agendas. To the public, he was the rising GOP star with the resonant baritone voice. Something else went on behind closed doors.” (Ibid.; p. 166.)

10. Gee -- a pedophile who is a minister?
Who could of guessed? :sarcasm:

Hope the guy rots in prison for a good long time.

The only thing that bothers me about this story is that the wife was charged when she had no involvement in this. I'm sure they got the confession out of the guy by using his wife as leverage. She has been released now, and charges dropped.

Here's a more in depth story from our local paper

15. A con man (preacher) turns out to be a criminal (pedophile)
Why is ANYONE shocked?

This guy makes his living conning people out of their money with fantastic tales of an afterlife. Nothing moral about that.
