You easily could put liquid explosives in a BRA

Two balloons full of gel explosives in a D-cup bra! It's simple enough to pull off. Will every person who appears to be a woman have to be felt up at the airport?

There are so many ways to smuggle liquids onto a plane. They could put liquids in flat, flexible plastic pouches which are sewn into a man's suit jacket as shoulder pads. They could put liquids in a ziplock bag and conceal them in the sewn lining of a handbag or carry-on. A fluffy down jacket can be full of baggies containing explosives.

Forcing people to throw out bottles of Visine and contact lens cleaner is ridiculous! It's a totally false panacea supposedly to calm the masses, with the real intention of fostering panic and fear.

I think it would actually be better NOT to tip off the terrorists that security is looking for liquids. They're only encouraging them to find more ingenious ways of getting liquid explosives onboard. Which will make it harder for airport security to detect them.

Trying to figure out how to respond to this. Institutionally, DHS can't conceive of anything until it's been kicked in the teeth a few times. And then they frantically mobilze (spraying our money around heedlessly) trying to solve yesterday's problem while the terrorists patiently pick apart their dumb-cluck responses.

Which is to say I blame them for incompetence rather than wickedness.

But, as someone else has said, "if stupidity is indistinguisable from evil, what does it matter?"

14. I find it odd that you can carry-on a bar of soap. Can't you hollow out

the soap and transport liquids? Also, read on the USAToday site that the machines for checked luggage CANNOT detect liquid explosives, so what's the point of allowing liquids to be checked? Why couldn't someone with a cell phone in the cabin set off liquid explosives in the cargo hold?

15. Next step- bombs inside bodies

There was a pretty good Sci fi book series "The Gap" by Stephen R. Donaldson where one of the main plot devices is that suicide bombers have gone to removing their internal organs, as much as they can, and replaced them with explosives. Then they walk into where they want to explode with no external evidence of a bomb. Since they don't expect to live more than a day, they didn't "need" their organs any more. This was written back in the 80's, BTW...
