Message To "Tweety": Democrats DO "Get it."

Yesterday I saw an interview that Chris Matthews had with Peter King. Matthews posed the question to King, "Do you think the Democrats getit?" in reference to the "War on terror."

Kings answer? "I think Joe Lieberman get's it. But I don't believe the rest of the Democratic party does."

It was all I could do to restrain myself, and keep from throwing a bronze statue through the tube.

So, Mr. Matthews, I would like to answer your question. Yes. The Democrats DO "get it." But I don't believe the republicans do. We understand that you don't go around the globe, trying to kill cockroaches with sledgehammers. We understand that you don't make up lies to go to war, using "terroism" as a pretense. We understand that you don't cut and run from Afghanistan, where the real terrorists were training, to focus your attention on a country that had no part in 9/11. We understand that "Cowboy diplomacy" is juvenile at best, and wholly dangerous for the entire world, at worst. We understand that, if you are truly interested in the war on terror, that you don't squander a trillion dollar surplus, and bankrupt our country, making you unable to fund mandates that would truly make us safer here at home. And you DON'T try to scare the batshit out of your citizenry for personal or political gain. There is much more I could say, but you all know the drill.

We "get it" alright. Now go fuck yourself and the weasels you rode in on.
