The terrorists will keep on trying to attack us. And if it weren't for the British, they would have succeeded. This is amazing since the British were unable to stop two attacks on their own country and mistakenly killed an innocent civilian whom they mistook for a terrorist.

Our government had nothing to do with keeping us safe. In fact, they are responsible that these attempts haven't ended. Why has our government not captures Osama Bin Laden? Why has our government allowed terrorists to use Iraq as a 'training ground'? Why has our government created a middle east that is so unstable and hateful of America that the people are willing to kill themselves if they can take out Americans? The Congress and the Administration are controlled by Republicans. I guess they are too interested in the price of oil and the oil industry's profits to be concerned with terrorism. And as long as it keeps the people scared... so scared enough to give up their very freedom, that they are happy and celebrating attempted terror attacks (http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x1877057):

Bush's Republicans hoped the raid would yield political gains.

"I'd rather be talking about this than all of the other things that Congress hasn't done well," one Republican congressional aide told AFP on condition of anonymity because of possible reprisals.

"Weeks before September 11th, this is going to play big," said another White House official, who also spoke on condition of not being named, adding that some Democratic candidates won't "look as appealing" under the circumstances.
