LIEBERMAN LOSES-TERRORISTS IN LONDON (Sheldon Drobney - Huff Post)
Does anybody out there see the relationship between these two news items? Sure you do. About 4 weeks ago the Justice Department uncovered a terrorist cell in Florida that was planning to blow up the Sears Tower in Chicago. It turns out that these “terrorists” were a few black kids falling for am undercover entrapment so they could support their drug habit.
Today’s announcement from our ally, the UK, suggests that 21 people were arrested for planning a massive bombing of flights from the UK to the United States.

The details of the plan were not specified by Michael Chertoff , head of Homeland Security. Furthermore, Attorney General Gonzalez was unwilling to disclose details of the conspiracy that would compromise the investigation. All we know is this group was planning to bomb these flights with some sort of gel liquid device. Below is an excerpt from the official story at http://www.defensenews.com/story.php?F=2014240&C=america.

A U.S. intelligence official said authorities believe the plot involved sophisticated explosives in liquid or gel form that were to have been carried on to aircraft, with battery triggers possibly stored in clocks, laptops or calculators. The threat level for the country as a whole remained at yellow, according to the department’s Web site. Britain’s security service raised its threat level to "critical" from "severe," the highest of its five ratings, suggesting "an attack is expected imminently." A U.S. official who asked not to be further identified said United Airlines, Continental Airlines and American Airlines flights between Britain and the United States had been specifically targeted for attack. U.S. airports were reporting long lines but not the canceled flights, chaos and severe delays that unfolded in London’s Heathrow Airport, where the plotters were thought to be planning to board flights to the United States. Passengers at U.S. airports were tossing out cans of soda and discarding makeup and hair gel, as they grudgingly accepted the new security measures.

1. It will come out
that the "intelligence" to arrest the culprits today and go to "critical" threat level came from America and that the British authorities had "no choice but to act on it".

WMD in Iraq
Operation Swarmer
Forestgate shooting (the last terror raid in London involving 250 police officers where nothing was found).

They always blame it on "the intelligence".

I'm not saying the guys in the latest raid are necessarily innocent but its the urgency and timing.

My guess is they were saving this one for closer to 9/11 but called it in early due to the Lamont factor.

on edit: meant anniversary of 9/11, obviously * needs to have a big song and dance about it.

3.  On Heels of Joe's Defeat, Terror Plot's Revealed: Is There a Connection?
Russell Shaw - Huff Post (Another non-typical tin foiler?)

Earlier today U.K. authorities announced they had arrested 24 suspects in a massive plot to blow up 10 airliners.

And of course, President Bush and Department of Homeland Insecurity chief Michael Chertoff used the occasion to tell us that we are all still vulnerable to terror attacks from Al-Qaeda.

This news comes less than a day after an interview in which Veep Cheney said that Joe Lieberman's defeat in Connecticut is likely to give comfort to the same Al-Qaeda by showing we- or at least the Democratic portion of "we," are soft on terrorism.

Do you see a message coming out? Iraq is part of the war on terror, and those mouse-y pacifists in the Democratic party revealed their true colors by nominating a (gasp) anti-Iraq War dove instead of a pro-Iraq War hawk.

So in other words, the Dems - who are now rallying around that appeasing peacenik Ned Lamont- just make Osama jump for joy in whatever Wazeristan abode he happens to be in at the moment.

Not saying the plot can't be real, but if you remember the history of how these things unfold, it often turns out a few days after these arrests, that all these clowns did was conspire on Internet chat rooms and via instant messenger.

I wonder if what I just described will prove to be the arc here.
