Based on your gut since the info is kind of slim by now.

Sorry I had to edit.

2. Who knows?
I'll wait for some more information. When Financial Times and other outlets I trust weigh in, I'll have a lot more to go on. Pretty haircuts on TV are not reliable sources.

3. Option 4:
True in parts but blown completely out of proportion to meet political ends.

4. I have no doubt it is true, but
I'm just as certain that the timing of the news was planned to have the maximum benefit for both the Chimperator and Poodle.

chimps BS and self aggrandizing get in the way of the fact that it was Scotland Yard a law enforcement agency who foiled the plot-not effing homeland security, the military, or M-whatever and the da** patriot act did not help in the slightest. The meaning- maybe just maybe we've been right all along, military ground invasions don't work, law enforcement does.

10. I vote "My how convenient"
Funny how things just happen like statistically improbable elections where "darn those lucky Republicans always seem to win in a squeaker." Cynical, you bet. More than ever as a self-defense mechanism until the terror addicted leaders find themselves out of power.

Oh and mortgage rates go down. Oil suddenly down. Stock market up. Trade deficit decreases. God damn good news is busting out all over. Oh and the war in Iraq? Ah, da. War? Iraq??

12. Ok
gut instinct -

at the very least, it's exaggerated

at the very worst, an infiltrator (ISI or MI6 etc) helped them along with the idea (just like the FBI and Miami 7)

I really don't know enough info. yet to make a permanent decision.
I am just not getting caught up in all the hype.
