MSNBC- the Made-up Sh*t News Broadcasting Corporation! Some thoughts
Edited on Thu Aug-10-06 12:38 PM by EstimatedProphet
I watched the unfolding "terror" plot on MSNBC this morning, and the extensive coverage of the Secret Service setting up a podium and microphones for the Fucktard-in-Chief. It was such fun! Some thoughts:

1) The Fucktard-in-Chief sure spoke a long time, didn't he? All he had to say was that the country is still threatened by terrorism, but don't worry and keep consuming mass quantities. Not a whole lot of speech for an hour of setting up by the media and the Secret Service.

2) They were broadcasting for a solid hour ahead of time that the FIC was going to speak at 11:50 am EST. AF1 TOUCHES DOWN AT 11:45! Seriously! Then 2 minutes of them bringing up the mobile stairway, a couple minutes waiting, 2 minutes of the FIC shaking hands, and a 2 minute speech! Alright, all you who think this is the real thing; HOW IS THIS NOT A STAGED PHOTO-OP? I have never seen any event ever go off with that kind of precision. I had a full rehearsal at my wedding, and we still started 10 minutes late! Realistically, how could the speech have been done without being rehearsed?

3) The bald asshole who sits in for O'Reilly (whatever his name is; Bald Asshole is probably more appropriate anyway) was on interviewing Pat Buchanan. Buchanan of course turned this around to a justification of banning immigration. Bald Asshole used it to justify every psychopathic sadistic tendency he has-we have to expand the war to all of the Middle East, we have to allow torture, we have too many rights, etc. He damn near creamed on the camera.

4) Andrea Mitchell and Whorah O'Donnell were at their best, gushing over how much danger the entire United States was in from 10 planes destined to be blown up outside the United States.

5) Yeah, I do think this has to do with Lieberman's fall on Tuesday. I think, and I've suspected for some time, that they would trot out something like this when things seem desperate for them, and they were just waiting for the right time. Lieberman showed them they aren't safe, and people aren't buying it anymore. They're also not buying it in England either, and FIC's lapdog is in just as much trouble there. It also has to do with the fact that we were seen publically trying to expand the Israel-Lebanon conflict, and we were doing everything we could to let it get out of hand. Also I think it has to do with Iraq falling apart at the seams, and Iran making us look stupid in the eyes of our people. All of these things are involved, because what it ultimately is about is trying to restore our image as Glorious Leader of the Universe. Make no mistake-this government will do anything it wants to stay in power. That is its only objective.

6) Why exactly is this news? Certainly, I have to wonder why it is news of this magnitude. If what they say is true (fat chance!) then they stopped a terrorist plot. So all the news networks are going into 24 hour overdrive because something didn't happen?

7) The only good thing coming out of the MSNBC coverage was a film clip of some people standing in line at an airport; the panned down the line, and at the end of the line there was a guy that flipped off the camera. Dude, if you're watching, YOU'RE MY HERO! I want to shake your hand!

1. I like your question, why is this news?
It is about some people who were heard probably over the phone or Internets saying stuff about doing things...etc.

They were not in the airport, the fuse was not lit, there was no weapon, nobody was sitting on the planes, the planes were going to go to the US, maybe? The bad guys did not run away from authority? they were arrested! They never got close to the airport...etc. All of this was in another god damn country..........

This really sounds like the Miami arrests a month or so ago...

2. Doesn't it though?
Real or not, they're clearly trying to use this to increase the stature of the FIC.

12. Yes, we may never know how far along these alleged "terrorists" were ...
... in carrying out their dastardly plans.

7. I visited the website earlier,
www.msnbc.com (for Clicked, not for news, alright?)

I noticed that a large majority of the "headlines" had question marks after them: Suspects at Large? Was this the "Big One"? Al-Qaida Resurgence? There were more, but they keep changing them. So I guess the rules of journalism are, you can say anything sensational or outlandish, as long as you throw a question mark after it.

What next?

Albino quadriplegics behind terror plot?
Terrorists foiled by six-year-old psychic?
Liquid explosives obtained from Saddam's WMD stash?
Dark-skinned, Arab-looking students missing -- could they be in your neighbor's, or even your basement?

8. Interesting observation... By throwing a '?' behind it one can say...
anything.

11. Like when they announced Jose Padilla when bush* had bad news to cover up
The announcement was almost a trivial affair, but they trumpted it up.

The networks are still trying to scare everyone about the evil terrorists, WHEN NOTHING HAPPENED!

For God's sake, how could anyone even begin to believe this crap?
