27. My sentiments
Was debating one of them last night, until the thread was locked.

I realized s/he was a newbie, but was obvious s/he came to DU to promote a specific agenda and posted some really bizarre things. I just could not bring myself to welcome him/her... and no one else did, either, even the ones that agreed with his/her post, even recommended for the greatest page.

From the looks of it, 'someone' has a huge phonebook! One of them said they got an email to come here and start posting.

25. turn up the volume
"I am IRON MAN!!!" :headbang:

Those made of metal, such as the Steel General, must surely have mettle. Like the Tin Man, they don't believe in spooks.

Does not a deliberite grammer error provide comic relief?

17. Yeah, it's sad
From the looks of it, they come here on 'a mission' to engage (as in guns ablazing) instead of interaction and discussion.

I'd bet they're emailing back to the original instigator or posting on some site that they're all signed up to get action alerts and whining about being a victim.

22. These last few days have been
way too funny. Too often I've reached the thread long after these 'winning hearts and minds' posts have been deleted. There's no greater fun than being on a thread live with alert activity :D.

23. I sold my car complete with DU sticker
to my brother, one of the conditions was that he leave the sticker on. They're many moons younger than me and get around, hopefully, people see it and check us out.
Usually, when the registrations come in bunches we've been talked about by some rightwing mouthpiece, and the newbies turn out to be foul smelling trolls, but, not all of them so welcome home newbs, now get out there and kick some elephant ass. :hi:

26. good point
and even though I am a cynic, some part of me likes to hope that for every few (10? 50?) tombstones, there may be one or two who after reading the info on here, thinks about it, and has a change of heart.

Ok, so maybe for every 100....

it amuses me how some are pretty good at hiding out for a bit, and can actually have intelligent conversations, even while arguing, then others don't seem to understand the word "subtle" at all...
