He always put Joe First.
Per Skinner: "But Joe Lieberman lost any goodwill he might have had from me when he declared his intention to run as an independent if he were to lose the primary. Seeing as Joe Lieberman did not feel bound by any notion of party loyalty, neither was I. It was a moment of clarity for me and (apparently) for a lot of other Democrats. Whatever lip-service he gave to the idea of doing what's best for the country, for Connecticut, or for the Democratic party was shown to be just that -- lip-service. The truth is that Joe does what's best for Joe."

And now the Republicans are coming out of the woodwork to endorse him.

When we Democrat "radicals" said he wasn't really a Democrat, we were told to shut up and get on board.

Now he's not a Democrat anymore, officially.

We said he wasn't true blue, and he proved it. He's true to Joe, and that's it.

Bye, Joe.
