When can we close the topic of Lieberman/Lamont
Edited on Wed Aug-09-06 08:19 PM by INdemo
The CT primary is over and we are happy the Republican lite lost. The Repukes are now running scared and there are many so called experts in the MSM to carry this subject forward 'till November. There are many congressional races to discuss but my goodness how long must this Lieberman loss topic go on.....

4. That "ignore" button works pretty well...
Seriously, this is the first decent win we've had in a while. I'd expect the topic to last longer than 20 hours...

5. I agree, we spend most of our time in shock
we should be allowed to celebrate a victory as long as possible...

6. If Holy Joe had conceded like a man, you might have a point.
But he DIDN'T. The Repub lite is giving the finger to
Connecticut Dems and throwing a monkeywrench into the works
with Repub support.

This 'topic' hasn't even gotten STARTED yet. We are gonna
be talking about it for YEARS.

7. Today was the first since 2000 that I was able to smile
After an election. Even though it was a primary, I'm happy, for the moment. The Incumbents were KICKED OUT of office. Holy Joe is a problem, sadly, still.

Let me smile for a couple of days, won't you?

Others, of course, will exercise their right to continue their discussions. See? Everybody's happy.

11. I think it can close now. It should be all about Lamont.
Liberman is not a Democrat anymore. It should be all about support for the Democratic nominee from Connecticut, Ned Lamont.

12. Maybe a couple of days after Holy Joe
decides to pull out of this ridiculous independent run - we'll need a couple of days to bash the shit out of him and then we can move on...

15. OK.....Just curious
The number one reason Lieberman will drop out of the race as an Independent.....no money..Logical thinking tells me the largest campaign contributions would be from the Republicans and I just dont think he will raise enough money to continue.. ....This was obvious during his concession speech

14. The thing is, it DOES go on -- unless Lieberman bows out
of his independent run.

And it will continue to be interesting.

I agree that it will be good to talk about some of the other races too, though!

16. You do realize Lieberman is still running?
As an independent?

Against the Democratic nominee?

Kind of a major thing when a senior Democrat loses a primary, then leaves the party to run as an independent. Maybe it's just me though.
