“One More Situation Where The President Could Be Right In The Long Run”
Mike Allen, Time Magazine White House Correspondent, on today’s (8/08) ‘Countdown with Keith Olberman’:

<queue smug certitude>

I just heard you talk about thirty days in an Israeli offensive. As you know, this is one more situation where the President could be right in the long run. Its possible that this winds up being an opportunity,. A moment of clarity, where Arab nations can stand against terrorism. But in the short run, things definitely aren’t going the way he expected to. A very small indicator of that, you saw the president and the Secretary of State standing together at his ranch in Crawford with that blue drape hanging behind them, symbolically showing that they were standing together. But they had hoped to announce there that the Secretary of State was headed to New York for the conclusion of one of these UN resolutions. Obviously that didn’t happen, it’s up in the air again now . Today we found out we can't trust the French, what a surprise.

So, Mr. Allen, could you please tell me ANYTHING the moron in chief has been right on?

And I guess because the French want some say in the drafting of the resolution they are co-sponsoring, that means that they cannot be trusted <queue sophomoric laughter>.

I wonder if they give out kneepads with those White House correspondent jobs.

You can't get major cooperation on anti-terrorism with bombs and missiles, it's not going to work, this is another ludicrous idea similar to they will greet us as liberators and the
war will pay for itself. Has the war paid for itself? No. Did they greet us as liberators?
No.
