A 3 point loss in a red state is hardly a stunning defeat for Bush. Still much work to be done.

6. Your calling this
a referendum on Bush. The facts are that in your "referendum", Bush (Lieberman) only lost by 3 points, in a heavily Democrat state. If it was a 10 point loss or more, that would make this story even more important that it is. Let's not get overly excited about this--still a long time until the general election in November, and much more work to do.

Leaving aside that the "Lieberman = Bush" insinuation is silly, how can an election in which only Democrats voted be a meaningful referendum?

8. As far as I know, many independents switched to
dem so they could vote and speak their voice.
