LOL! GOP/Mehlman praise Lieberman
I suscribe to their email because I like to "know thy enemy". Don't read any further if you don't want to read a rebuplican email.

Dear Melissa,

In politics, there are turning points that can define a political party for decades to come. Yesterday's defeat of Senator Joe Lieberman in the Democrat primary in Connecticut is such a moment. Because he stood for a strong national defense and victory in Iraq, Joe Lieberman was successfully targeted for defeat.

For a political party to reject a respected Senator who just six years ago was its candidate for Vice President is virtually without precedent. It speaks volumes about the new Democrat Party: if you stand for a strong defense and victory in the War on Terror, you have no place in the party and you must be purged.

Watch the video and get the facts about what this means about the decline of the Democrat Party - from leadership that would "pay any price, bear any burden" to defend freedom to leaders who want to cut and run from the War on Terror, and surrender other tools needed to keep America safe.

The message from Connecticut is clear, and Ned Lamont isn't alone. He is joined by Rep. John Murtha, architect of the Democrats' position on Iraq and the man who wants to be the next House Majority Leader, who claims America is more dangerous than Iran and North Korea and says, "We've become the enemy." And by Howard Dean, who calls the idea of victory in Iraq "just plain wrong." Watch how the new Democrat Party always chooses weakness over strength, blaming America first.

With 90 days to go before the election, National Democrat leaders have made their choice in favor of defeatism, isolationism, and blaming America first. Where do you stand?

Sincerely,

Ken Mehlman
Chairman, Republican National Committee

3. Lieberman is the repuke candidate. He needs to be treated
as such. Democratic party leaders need to wash their hands of him AND any so-called Democrat who supports him.

4. This coming from the party of AWOL and deferment. They know a lot
about cutting and running. In fact, they wrote the book. They'd cut and run from Iraq, too, if there weren't so much money in it!

America is going broke, while the defense and oil companies are getting rich. Actually, "rich" is an understatement. More like "hyper obscenely wealthy."

Or did they ever stop?

That always just pisses me off. That desperate jerko, Mehlman.

6. Mehlman likes to back losers like Tom Delay too
For the past 11 years, Tom DeLay's leadership has helped reduce taxes and expand our economy, strengthen our national defense, provide hope to millions through welfare reform, and improve our nation's schools. Today's decision, although difficult, continues Tom DeLay's commitment to put his nation, his constituents, his colleagues and his party first.”

and Jack Abramoff

As the chairman of the Republican National Committee attempts to distance himself and his party from the Jack Abramoff corruption scandal, a new government report suggests that the GOP leader used his previous White House post to aid the disgraced lobbyist.

7. He said Democrat instead of Democratic SIX times
Aside from the general vileness of the letter, that really stood out for me.
