WELL DONE!
Congratulations everyone who worked long and hard for a Lamont win.

Now, more than ever, it is important to get to work to ensure that August 8, 2006 will be known as the watershed moment. The facts speak for themselves. Lamont got more votes. I guess that means that there are more "extreme left liberals" than anyone anticipated.

And I would hasten to say that given the popularity of the Iraq war....there are more extreme left liberals in America than anyone wants to talk about. What is Bush running for popularity right now...hovering around 35-40 percent???

I'd also like to suggest that the quick response by the radical right wingers gives an indication of how desperate they are getting. They can see the writing on the wall now. It is obvious.

Just look at some of their team. Delay - ostracized and under criminal charges.
Ney - forced to resign because of above.
Cunningham - under criminal charges.
Libby - criminal charges.
There are many more that I am sure I missed, but the jist is--
The rampant corruption of the republican party is tearing America apart and leaving parts of the world a smoldering ruin.
Add to that a war of choice based on lies, with the American military stuck in a quagmire and escalating civil war in Iraq, rising violence and war in Afghanistan, the Lebanon crisis, the Katrina debacle, record oil and gas prices.

See? They have nothing. Nothing at all. And so, they fall back on the only card they have left to play. Condemn the democrats as being extreme left wingers. I say embrace the name.....and frame it in such a way as to define the democrat's principles. Don't even bother to deny it. Relish the fact that you are against pre-emptive war. ESPECIALLY given the history of the Iraq war. Relish the fact that you are for raising the minimum wage. Relish the fact that you are against torture as an interrogation method. Relish the fact that you are for universal healthcare. And always always always, demand accountability of the criminal aspects of the Bush regime, from illegal wiretapping, to outing a known CIA agent and finally starting a war that did not have to happen.

Well done guys.
