People who drive drunk, their victims, and a heroine
This story was just published today by the Cincinnati Enquirer. It is the story of a woman in Texas who was killed by a drunk driver traveling 117 MPH in a 60 mph zone. He got a mere five years in prison. But the woman he murdered happened to be an organ donor and more than 50 people have benefitted from her legacy, including Bengals quarterback Carson Palmer.

1. Good message for all of us, that out of tragedy can come some good
When my daughter was killed by a drunk driver, 5 months before her wedding and leaving behind her fiance, their two small children, two sisters, and the saddest parents ever, we could not donate most of her organs due to the nature of her injuries. But we were able to donate her corneas. One went to a little boy who had been born blind and who had never seen his mommy; the other went to a young mother who had become blind as a teen, and who had never seen her children.
It won't bring her back, but in some small way, allows her to live on.

4. I don't understand not being an organ donor
It's not like you'll need the organs and there are so many people who would benefit from them. I can't think of a better legacy to have.
