11 Egyptian students missing in U.S...Run & Hide in Terror!
http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=2288397&page=1

WASHINGTON, Aug. 8, 2006 — The FBI and U.S. Immigration and Custom's Enforcement alerted intelligence agencies and state and local law enforcement this week about 11 Egyptian students who failed to report to their classes at Montana State University after they entered the country last month.

The 11 students entered the United States through New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport on July 29, 2006, but have failed to arrive at MSU, where they were scheduled to take English and other academic courses as part of an exchange program with Mansoura University, which is located in Alexandria, Egypt.

"The FBI and ICE would like to locate these 11 students in order to speak with them," FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said in a statement released Monday. "At this point all they have done is not show up for a scheduled academic program and their student visas have been revoked."

----------------

This week's scary terror story to keep it in the back of our heads that they hate us for our freedoms and want to hurt us. Are we at war with Egypt yet?

1. Iraq=tactical pivot, Saudi Arabia = political pivot. Egypt = the prize
http://www.thenation.com/doc/20020902/vest

The Men From JINSA and CSP

For example, the Pentagon's Defense Policy Board--chaired by JINSA/CSP adviser and former Reagan Administration Defense Department official Richard Perle, and stacked with advisers from both groups--recently made news by listening to a briefing that cast Saudi Arabia as an enemy to be brought to heel through a number of potential mechanisms, many of which mirror JINSA's recommendations, and which reflect the JINSA/CSP crowd's preoccupation with Egypt. (The final slide of the Defense Policy Board presentation proposed that "Grand Strategy for the Middle East" should concentrate on "Iraq as the tactical pivot, Saudi Arabia as the strategic pivot Egypt as the prize.") Ledeen has been leading the charge for regime change in Iran, while old comrades like Andrew Marshall and Harold Rhode in the Pentagon's Office of Net Assessment actively tinker with ways to re-engineer both the Iranian and Saudi governments. JINSA is also cheering the US military on as it tries to secure basing rights in the strategic Red Sea country of Eritrea, happily failing to mention that the once-promising secular regime of President Isaiais Afewerki continues to slide into the kind of repressive authoritarianism practiced by the "axis of evil" and its adjuncts.

4. Don't be afraid but do be prepared.
This is a perfect time to hit us again.

We are aligned with Israel against the Arabs. With Bush in office we are virtually leaderless.
The world pretty much despises us. No one trusts us.

The only bright spot is that bush probably does not want an attack after saying we would be safer.

5. ICE priority on enforcement
naturally went to Arab males after 911, but for some reason, they go after Egyptians with the biggest stick. Maybe because the ringleader came from there, or Saudis don't come as often and overstay. They set up a system to track students much better, too. Now a student doesn't show up for class and ICE will be after them, since now the university has the responsibility of reporting that.

Even Egyptians who married US citizens were put into deportation proceedings and initially detained - they can still make the application in the proceedings, but usually that was enforcement not bothered with, since the person had a way to become legal (still not bothered with for anybody from other countries who marries a US citizen)

So an Egyptian student that doesn't show up for class is toast. If they turn up later applying for a green card because they are married to a US citizen, they are going to get the full runaround, I predict.

10. Yeah I heard it on the radio on the way in to work
the Glenn Beck show. He said that the FBI has refused to release their photographs but I can't find any mention of that anywhere-no surprise really I think the fact that the FBI hasn't released any photos (lets assume they have some) is being extrapolated out.

Then he had a caller (I am not kidding either) who wondered about the King Tut exhibition that is touring the states and how these guys could have gone into the background there and are going to be able to move around without anyone noticing while under the cover of the exhibition. She claimed that the FBI person she talked to asked her if she was a clairvoyant ...or Clair Voyant.

12. 11 missing Egyptians and we're not supposed to be afraid?
Why not? Maybe it is time to do a better job of who is allowed in the US besides the administration harrassing the left leaning.
